“Get their Duck Andouille gumbo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

We order the gumbo to go about 15 min from the restaurant. They give you plenty of rolls, rice and potato salad with your order. The Gumbo is one of my favorite soups in the world. Rich and greasy. I would order or for my last meal. Love it and stop by about three times a year.

“Great gumbo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

Nice music. Food was good. Prejeans was recommended by our swamp tour host, Butch. Our first visit. We also visited Randols which is similar layout with music and dance floor.

“HEAT the food up and its great.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I've eaten here several times, and unless you order something fried, its going to be luke warm. The pictured dish was the last thing I ordered and it seemed to be a fish over baked almost to rubber and stuffed with a stiff crab filling that had to be cut apart to eat.
Get gumbo or something fried and you cant go wrong.
Pricey for the small portion. There is also a need for a variety of side dishes besides corn in a pie crust cup and dried dirty rice.

“Tourist trap with decent food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

Good (enough) food - lousy service - fun please but not worth the $$ - there are so many better dining choices in the area!

“Authentic Taste of Cajun food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Prelean's is a classic Cajun experience. From the moment you open the door to the decour - Luisiana swamp - tress with moss and stuffed aligators and fish. There is also a live Cajun band nightly (no dancing so they could have been a little quieter). I started with a delicious smoked duck and anduillie sausage gumbeo. My it was good. Duck was very tasty in a real dark rou. I had the grill shrimp and steak dinner. Good shrimp nicelly cooked. Steak was OK at best. My wife had the crawfish half and half (half ettoufe and half fried). She liked it a lot. Service was quick and attentive. Good meal.
