I hadn't been to La Provence since Chef Chris ran the place, but several friends told me that it is even better now that it's a Besh restaurant. Well, they were right; I enjoyed the food and ambiance more than ever!
The pate that has always been a staple at the restaurant was still there, but I found it a bit salty for my taste. For that reason, we asked that our our appetizers and entrees be prepared with a very minimum of salt. All our selections were excellent, and not salty; we could really taste the food!
I had the tempura-fried squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta cheese and the pork-three-ways entree; both were outstanding. My wife had a seafood bisque and a fish entree topped with lump crab that were also excellent.
The service was top-notch as well; we never felt as though the staff were hovering over us, but we never felt ignored. Our waitress even went out of her way to research a piece of background music that we enjoyed so that we could obtain a copy!
Don't miss out on dining here.
