My likes: The person who took my reservation was super friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel. The decor in the rooms and all over the hotel is very pleasant. The room was super clean. Internet access was a plus. Location is very close to restaurants. The check in process was fast. The breakfast is plentiful and has a great variety of items. The shuttle runs 24 hrs. I think they also have a little place by the lobby where you can get a drink but I don't think its a restaurant.

My dislikes: The front desk staff was not very friendly although they were not rude either. Don't forget to reserve the shuttle for departure and take the hotel number with you in case the shuttle doesn't show up when it said it would pick you up at the airport. I had to wait 30 minutes for the next scheduled shuttle and then it was 30 minutes late picking me up at the airport.

The hotel itself has decent rooms and amenities including free breakfast, small workout room, internet connection, free shuttle to the airport. However, if you don't have a car, it's in a really bad neighborhood and you're stuck--nothing within walking distance and you probably shouldn't walk around this area anyway. The hotel bar will not allow you to charge drinks to your room. The hotel "restaurant" will allow you to charge food to your room, you just can't eat it there. You can hear other guests quite easily through the walls. Service was friendly but our airport shuttle driver didn't show up so the front desk clerk had to drive us, thereby abandoning the hotel. There have to be better options near the airport!

we had an early flight out of New Orleans and so picked this place for our last night. It is just off the airport grounds. Seems relatively new, everything was clean and in good repair. There is a reataurant and lounge in the hotel- the menu isnt giant but the food is pretty good. The food tab could be charged to the room but the bar tab could not be, which was a little odd, but not really a big deal.
There's a shuttle to take you to the terminal which is handy, and we had no trouble getting there early in the morning. There's a pool but we didnt use it, and there's a free breakfast but we left to early to take advantage of it. One little complaint I would mention is that there is a coffee maker in the room, but the only coffee I saw was two little packets of instant coffee. So they should put the "real" coffee back in the room. But if you're there at a time when the breakfast is being served downstairs, you'd probably get the real stuff.

The staff was great, particularly Lee at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and even manage to put a smile on my daughters face when she was tired and grumpy. The rooms were good sized and had flat panel TV, fridge. Breakfast was better than a lot of hotels, having hot food and not just pastries & yogurt . That's all the good stuff. The not so good... rooms had instant coffee only, even though there was a coffee pot. Could definitely do better. But the big big issue I had was that the rooms were incredibly noisy. And it wasn't the airplanes that were the issue (I hardly noticed those), it was the pipes. They rattled, clanked, etc... constantly! Definitely not so good if you are not a heavy sleeper! If the noise doesn't bother you, and/or you are just looking for something close to the airport, then go for it. But if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

This was my first time ever visiting Louisiana and wasn't really sure what to expect in general. I knew it would be close to the airport, but didn't realize how close it really was.
The parking lot wasn't small, but it wasn't large enough for a coach bus to easily maneuver around either. The rooms were nice and spacious.
I liked being close to the airport. It was neat to watch the airplanes land outside my window. I've never experienced something like that before. It was a bit noisy, but nothing that I couldn't handle.
The breakfast in the morning was enjoyable with a nice large selection. The lobby, gym & computer room were also very nice.
One thing that wasn't so great was the pool. Not that we could get in it, it was too cold anyways. It looked a little dirty.
Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

Squeaky clean hotel, comfortable rooms & beds, super friendly service. The free breakfast was better than most hotel breakfast plans - hot eggs, yogurt, waffles, etc. Free shuttle service was a huge plus. Free internet access in the rooms was good, and business center let us print boarding passes for free. Gym was organized, airy and clean. Only downside was that no restaurants or services are in walking distance, but the hotel will serve dinner for a reasonable price. I didn't notice any airplane noise. Overall, I highly recommend it for a short airport stay.

Pros:
Location was pretty good. (For an airline traveller this is a pristine location being about 7 or 8 minutes from the Airport and the hotel has a complimentary shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes.)

Bed/pillows were comfortable.

Large 2-story shopping mall and national/chain restaurants within a 15 minute drive as well as many fast food restaurants and local eateries.

Great customer service. Was always greeted when walking in or out of the hotel during my 3-night stay.

Cons:
Water pipes are pretty noisy when in use, whether your room or someone else's. They rattled about every hour, though never loud enough to wake either of us up.

Towels and washcloths had stains on them.

It's obviously near the airport and the runways are visible from the backside of the hotel. One runway is pointed nearly straight at the hotel so you have some jets landing and taking off on that one. Pretty noisy, but still not enough to be waken up by.

Other than that, this is your every day hotel. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
