The hotel was located in Kenner, La which is where the New Orleans Airport is located, go figure.


Location:

Great location, not in the city of New Orleans but only a 15 -20 minute drive to Bourbon, French Quarter, etc.

Hotel was clean, and parking was free, another advantage of not staying in the city.

Had a great bar and lounge area and a Starbucks...yipee!!!

We had a problem with the A/C on the 2nd day and we were moved to another room and given a discount on our internet for the inconvenience.

***Internet cost: 11.95 per day, steep when compared to Hampton Inn and others that provide it for free***

The city:
What can you say about New Orleans, good food and good people, it doesnt get any better.

You can see the effects of the hurricane plight when you travel down to New Orleans, and there are tent cities that have sprung up under the bridges because of the lack of public housing.

In the touristy areas everything is back to normal, Bourbon and the French Quarter all seem to have rebounded back to 100 percent!

We were in town for the National Championship and wanted a nice hotel to stay at that wasn't that expensive. It was wonderful. Clean, quiet and great room service. Right by the airport but was quiet. Would stay here again

Booked online through the Hilton site and secured an excellent pre-pay rate. We stayed here one night (Dec 22, 2007) and found the hotel wonderful for an overnight stay before an early flight out of the NOLA airport. The hotel was large enough that we didn't feel cooped up, and I used the treadmill in the gym which was great! We ordered two appetizers off of the bar menu to take up to our room, and both were just fine (ceaser salad and the bruchetta). Our room was very clean and the bathroom was wonderful as well. I am very, very picky about the cleanliness of hotel rooms, and have absolutely no complaints about this hotel! We used the long-term parking for the 10 days were were gone at the hotel ($8 per night, versus the $12 per day rate at the airport for parking) and shuttled over to the airport before flying out, and the shuttle picked us up upon our return. Very convenient and a great savings! We would certainly stay here again before flying out of NOLA!

VERY easy in and out of airport area. Great shuttle service. Well appointed rooms. Food is awful. Do not eat here for any reason. Dinner is just god-awful from the service to the items served. Breakfast is an ok hotel fare buffett but if you want to order off the menu expect the server to treat you like crap for doing so because they have to work harder. Room service is hotel robbery at all hotels but they have it down to an art form.
I will stay again....I will insure they take me to someplace with good food.
