The Crochet House provides a comfortable and cozy stay and the needs of a guest are well thought out. Hosts Leland and Sally are very gracious, enjoyable company at breakfast and the food is traditional Cajun fare. We recommend this stay.

We had a great night at the Crochet House. Leland and Sally were both very welcoming and made us a delicious breakfast. We loved the outdoor Jacuzzi and the backyard space with hammocks and adorable cats. The room was very comfortable and overall we had a great stay!

The perfect place to learn some history of the Cajun people and enjoy a wonderful breakfast. Sally was a wonderful historian and Leland was great at cooking and shucking oysters!
Our suite was perfect with a kitchen, porch and laundry. It was everything we needed.

Room tip: The suite was well equipped with laundry and porch. This room is in a small cottage and very quiet.

If you are going to Houma La and want the best in hospitality and the ability to immerse one's self into the Cajun culture, there is none better than the Crochet House B&B. The owners, Leland and Sally Crochet are sixth (or seventh) generation Cajuns who are versed in the history and culture of the Cajun country.

This was our fifth visit to the Crochet House over the past decade, and it feels like our "Home in Houma." Sally and Leland are like family and are incredible hosts. As usual, breakfasts are outstanding and are only surpassed by the company of Sally and Leland who provide insight to the culture of the Cajun Country and the Bayou. The guest rooms are spotless, the breakfast menus vary daily with Cajun specialties plus bacon and eggs.

Having been life long residents of Houma, Leland and Sally guide their guests to the most interesting sites around Houma and provide intormation you do not find on web sites. If you are seeking a family atmosphere and knowledgeable, friendly hosts, choose the Crochet House. It is the best in the Cajun country. Trip Advisor ranks them as the Number one B&B for obvious reasons-the Crochet House deserves that recognition. To my wife and I, the Crochet House should also be listed as the Number 1 overall attraction in Houma as well.

Lastly, be prepared to learn the latest Boudreaux & Thibodeaux jokes. Leland knows them all!

Leland and Sally are two of the most welcoming people I have ever met! You can tell they love what they do. I learned so much about the culture of the area talking to them. They pointed us in all the right directions. Breakfast was amazing!!!! Also the people you meet by staying in a place like this only adds to the experience!

Room tip: any room would be great!
