First time here was after Hurr.Katrina--food was GREAT! People were friendly! VERY welcoming place!
Back in 2008--still great, great, great!
Now it's 2013: faces have changed; menu, decor, and Boudreau/Thibodeau jokes have not.
Locals go here: for tourists, there can be no better place to experience real Cajun food and hospitality (unless you are lucky enough to have Cajun friends).
Good for kids, couples, groups, or by your lonesome (Q=Know what the loneliest bayou? A=By you'self!) You won't be 'lonely'--the staff and guests seem to take personal interest in every customer.
And staff genuinely CARE about how you like the food. Too spicey? They'll get you a very bland version. Don't like? They'll find something you DO like. And no one goes away hungry! Portions are generous.
Prices are reasonable. Dress code is casual. Parking is ample. Come early: this place is POPULAR and fills up fast.
