“Great overnight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

This is a great overnight between Texas and Alabama. The sites are long, the streets are wide enough and the park is huge. This is more of a destination during the spring through fall period for families. The park has two pools, a water park, fishing ponds, cart rentals, miniature golf, etc. We were there in February and it was about 20% full. Don't know if I would stay there during peak seasons as we don't have children. Looks like they had a really bad winter and there are hundreds of dead palm trees.

We stay only one night, because we are driving back from our vacation, great location, close to the Hwy, all places paved, very clean, safe, and they keep the office open late, very convenient for a travelers. This is one of the big RV parks that we stay. We don't have time to enjoy the amenities , but are a few, good restaurants close by. We love landrys Sea food, but they give you a ride and special price for a Cajun sea food, closer to the park.
Many people, driving golf cars around, and looks like, many groups go there. We see many places with groups, but no problem after 10pm. We stay in a full Hook up, 50 amps and all the services works well.
We recomend this Rv park.

Great find just off freeway and not hard to find. Large RV Resort with lots to do for a family. They have a water park, couple of pools with a bar and grill by them, play ground area, 18 hole mini golf, video arcade and movie theatre. Very clean and Dog friendly. Friendly and helpful staff. Would love to bring grandchildren here.

Been here twice. Wife limes all the activities. Won't be back. This time they got to her too. Charged $20+ worth of of liquor to our card that we did order. Argued it at the office. Check out took 35 mins. Then visa bill came in and our good Sam discount had been taken off. Reason was our card was not on file. I gave my lifetime member card to the girl at check in. She did the computer input and gave it back. Jerks! And, all day, late into the night, drunks and kids drive their golf carts around the park seeing who's stereo in the loudest. Never heard so much rap and crap. When we called the office 3 times to break up a loud party of profanity at the rear of our RV, an hour after quiet time (10pm) they never sent anyone. The neighbor finally went out and shut them up. You see minors drinking and driving around not caring about anyone else because "its their culture" in south LA. So tired of hearing that excuse for poor parenting. Won't be back and they'll never miss me.

Absolutely awesome RV park, large yet everyone is very friendly. You pay for everything but dont really mind as they keep park so clean my husband never goes barefoot but here he did grass very soft great drinks and pool was awesome for big and little kids. As my brother-in-law said its for all ages from birth to the rocking chair..

Room Tip: we liked 169 RV site right on the little pond

The pros of this park - good size lots, roads are wide and easy to navigate, the staff is friendly and helpful to the best of their ability, the park is well maintained. Cons - the staff although very helpful are not very well trained (I asked for a scotch and water and the bar tender had to ask what scotch was) there is a lack of what is rules and what is not rules (one pool supervisor told my wife her float was to big and another said it was not to big) most everything is overpriced. We arrived 25 minutes prior to checkin time and was charge 5 dollars for early check in and by the time we got to the site we were not early. there is no shade and with as much concrete it is one of the hottest places I have been. they are unable to keep the pool clean during peak times. I have stayed at parks that are a lot worst than this one and I will stay here again, but it will be during the week and not during holiday periods.

Room Tip: Plan on spending more money than you thought

Great place to escape the big city. Not too far of a drive from Baton Rouge or Lafayette area. Spent the weekend there with a group of my girlfriends. We had a blast! Fun swim up bar, safe location, delicious restaurant up front. Lots of families there also; lots of couples. Nice getaway for any size group, and age bracket. If you’re a local it's a short drive from home....and if you're a visitor to Louisiana it's centrally located near two major Louisiana cities so you'll be able to take a great day trip to visit Cajun Country. Great swim area for the kids, hot tub area, movie night, pizza. You can book a “Chalet”, or a “Cabin”, plus lots of RV camping spots. I opted for “Chalet”. It was a small “trailer”, but clean. Majority of your time is spent visiting other guests on property or relaxing at the pool.
