“Down home cooking in the Gretna historic district”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

This restaurant is located in the center of the Gretna Historic District on the corner of Huey P. Long Ave and 4th Ave in the former Chevy dealership. It features southern cooking, coffee and baked goods. The service is good and the atmosphere is friendly and funky. They feature a lot of fried food and the portions are generous for very reasonable prices. The decaf Cafe Au Lait was a bit weak but other than that, it was a fun place to go in an interesting area. They are closed on Monday.

“Quite the quaint breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

Put this little place on your map for breakfast. Located on a historical street corner it had quite the ambience I hoped for on a foggy new years morning. The breakfasts were all just the right sized portions and I found the grits to be the best Id had in quite some time. Breakfast plates were around $6 which beat any other breakfast we had while in New Orleans. Worth the visit!
