“Seafood lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Good seafood, authentic cajun, we ordered several different plates for the table and enjoyed every single dish. The service was okay(definitely not 5 stars), the decor was nice, the restrooms are very neat, certainly a good option for a quick stop on the way to New Orleans!

“Nice Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Food is great, good selection for fried seafood. Decor of Restruant is wonderful, newly updated. The grill oysters are good. Don't be fooled by the location. The Motel changed names in 2011, from Holiday Inn to Clarion Inn. The restruant is locally owned. Patio area is nice when they have the firepits turned on. Louisiana can have some mild temp in Winter.

“No Service at all!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

I have been to Mike Anderson's restaurants in Baton Rouge and New Orleans several times and have enjoyed both. However, my husband and I were traveling through Gonzales and decided to have dinner at Mike Anderson's since the food has always been awesome. When we arrived, the young lady at the front informed us that we would have a "short" 10 - 15 minute wait. While we were waiting several people had come in that had reservations and one couple in particular was also told they would have a "short" 10 - 15 minute wait. (They arrived about 10 minutes after us). Sure enough their wait was very short - they were called after 5 minutes of waiting. We promptly left and went to Don's Seafood down the road and had a very nice dinner!! It should be noted that while we were there, one customer left very angry after waiting 20 minutes for a gift card!! Not sure if it was a bad night for customer service or bad management.

“Best Seafood in South Louisiana”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

If you are passing through the town of Gonzales, LA be sure to stop at Mike Anderson's Seafood Restaurant, by far the best seafood in town and by far better than places I've been to in New Orleans! I especially love the fried shrimp, fried fish and grilled oysters. The seafood salad is also very good. I don't think I've had anything bad there honestly! My family and frequent this restaurant for any and all occasions!
