On Feb 15, 2012, my boyfriend and I arrived at the Highland Inn to a crowded parking lot. I was not worried about the lack of parking at first glance because I had a reservation. I had received a call that evening as we were driving over asking if we were still coming and I CONFIRMED our reservation. When we arrived at 11:30, Shannon informed me that I had no reservation because they had sold my room. When I demanded that she do something to make this injustice right, she told me that there was nothing she could do and that there was no fixing it.
I made my reservation MONTHS ago. I was the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding, a wedding that happened to be the same weekend as several Mardi Gras Parades. I knew it would be nearly impossible to get a hotel in Gonzales that weekend and had no expectation of such a thing, hence the reservation.
She also refused to give me the owner's name and the owner of the hotel does not list any contact or customer service information on the website. Do not stay in this hotel. Do not give these people your business. They are unethical and have no care for customer service.
