“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We'd hoped to have a nice dinner here, but realized when we got there that this is more like a diner. It's a shame since the location is beautiful. The service was rushed, but the food was good. I wouldn't return since I don't like salad bars and found the place a bit rushed for a nice dinner.

“Fried Shrimp was GREAT”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Very casual, live music, good basic menu, staff was almost TOO helpful! The steak and shrimp was cooked perfectly. Butterflied shrimp were really good.

“Very disappointed! Natchitoches location”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

We are visiting Natchitoches for the first time viewing the City of Lights display. Stopped in at this location For dinner. The atmosphere is like a diner if i can call it that with prices like an upscale steak house. Ordered 10oz ribeye (cooked as ordered), potato casserole (barely warm) not very good, came with fried bread(greasy) and a trip to the salad bar. $18.95. Self serve salad bar had a variety of items to choose from if they had been refilled. problem, lettuce trays were empty along with other items. My partners entree was good but sides were horrible, baked potato was boiled.
Service was slow, and uninformed waitress. Upon leaving we spoke with 4 Other unrelated patrons who all were very dissatisfied.

“Not fancy, but tasty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

Fried fish and onion rings were seasoned and fried just right. Good service. If you're a party of 2, you can get in pretty quick. There was an hour wait for 4 or more people, but it was during Festival of Lights on a Saturday night around 6:30.

“New Owners.... Same Great Place to Eat!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

I have been eating at Sea & Sirloin for over 25 years, and when I heard that it was being sold, I really was worried that everything would change. If it changed... it was for the better!

The quality of the food is excellent. The portions are more than fair. Frequently, my fiance and I will order the small catfish or a fish & shrimp plate, and not only have plenty to eat, but take the leftovers home and make po-boys for lunch the next day!

I can't leave this review without mentioning their salad bar. It is awesome. They make their own dressings, and they are the best I've ever had. Would love to get the recipes!

The service is good, and the food is excellent. Call ahead and make reservations on the weekends. You'll be glad you did.

They have actually opened a second "Sea & Sirloin" in Natchitoches now. I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully, it's the same wonderful quality.

In conclusion... drive out to Black Lake and enjoy the best food in the area. It is consistently good, and a good value for your dollar.
