We made it to Cafe des Amis about 7:45 on Saturday morning. Got a great table, ordered our crawfish etouffee and eggs and grits and were on the dance floor by 8:05. Cher, if you want to have some fun, do some laughing and feel a whole bunch younger, this is the place to be! I grew up in the Cajun country; my wife grew up in the Swiss Alps. She just kept saying "So this is what you've been talking about!" The zydeco band was terrific, everybody in the place was having a good time and we will be back as soon as we can get there. (We hung in till the band stopped playing, around 11 AM.) Breaux Bridge is certainly worth a night in a B&B and an afternoon browsing through the shops in the village. Whatever you do, don't miss the zyedco brunch!
