We stayed at the Comfort Inn-Bossier City Sept 19-21, 2003.
When we checked in the floors were damp, but, we figured that maybe they had just cleaned them and didn't worry about it.
THE next day when we went to take a shower, we found the shower head TAPED to the nozzle. Because of this we couldn't move the shower head and had to take our shower huddled against the shower wall. During MY shower, the shower head shot off the nozzle and hit me in the head. I had to turn off the shower and replace it before I finish rinsing off.
After we both took showers we realized that the nozzle had been leaking onto the bathroom floor and it was soaked.
We went to the front desk to inform them. When we told them what happened all the lady said to us was..."Well, I don't have another room I can give you!" No, apologies for the inconvience...nothing. We asked that they note the problems in the computer (which we found out later, they did not do. We asked that someone look at it....they sent someone down, he looked at it....and did nothing. When we got back to our room a few hours later....our key card no longer worked so, we had to go down and have it reprogrammed...once we got inside....the shower was NOT fixed and there were a bunch of wet towels on the floor.
The next morning when we checked out (without being able to shower again), we fully expected the manager to be helpful and back up their SATISFACTION GUARANTEE...which states that if a problem could not be fixed in a timely matter, and to our satisfaction...our room would be FREE.
YEAH right! The manager could have cared less...he asked WHY WE didn't ask for another room. We informed him they had NO vacancies so we could move. Then his solution was to offer us a room to shower in that morning. AFTER we had packed and checked out. His idea of compensation for these complaints, was to take 10.00 off our first night and 20.00 of our 2nd nights bill. WOO HOO...that REALLY impressed us.
I think that this Choice Hotel does NOT follow thru with their satifaction guarantee...AND we complained to the International company and never recieved a response. (Even though they claimed someone would contact us within 7 business days. (It's now been 2 weeks).
So, NO I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who was going to stay in Bossier City...I won't recommend it to family, friends or business associates. I seriously suggest that they look long and hard at their customer services practices...and if they are NOT going to follow thru with the Customer Satisfaction Guarantee...then take it OFF the wall!
