“Outstanding take-out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

Whenever I'm in the Shreveport/Bossier area, I stop here and take a meal home. It's easy to get to from the interstate and they pack the food well. They do have a few small tables to dine in but the real treat is take-out. Their Sesame Chicken is perfection--fried WHITE MEAT chicken in a sweet sesame sauce. So hard to find a Chinese restaurant that doesn't give you cheap thigh meat in every chicken dish. Their Shrimp and Mushroooms is also wonderful. When you order an entree portion, you get a big aluminum pan full with a cardboard lid. Enough food for 2 or 3 large dinner servings.

“Very Very Good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Lin's is one of my kids favorite Chinese resturants, out of all the places we have tried, they love them some Lin's, and so do I.

“Superb "take-away" and even enough space to "eat in"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

HAve eaten here many, many times. The staff is very friendly and upbeat and will prepare your food just the way youo like it. We also eat at the Benton location, but there seems to be better quality at this shop. Wonderful tastes, have not had ANYTHING that was less than great. DO not hesitate to eat here, much better than the buffets!

“China Hot proprietor now operates Lin's Kitchen”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2011

The family that operators Lin's Kitchen Chinese Restaurant operated China Hot restaurant in Shreveport before opening this restaurant in Bossier City, across the river. The restaurant is located in an "off the beaten path" new residential area off the Shed Road interchange of I-220. . It appears that most of their business is carry out but there is a small 7 or 8 table eating area on site. Lin's Kitchen is operated by an industrious young Chinese family who learned the American trade in New York City, which explains their notation on the menu of "New York Style". If you enjoy Chinese food, you know there are vast differences in style from a Cantonese or Hong Kong style Chinese restaurant from other styles. Lin's Kitchen definitely has a New York slant. There is nothing particularly wonderful at Lin's Kitchen, however, it is good and relatively inexpensive Chinese food. I have never had anything bad there and you are served a large serving of everything that you order. My family likes the typical American-Chinese (what we see on menus here in the United States is different from what you see on a menu in China) food with a preference for anything spicy, and Lin's kitchen does a nice job with everything we order. What makes it "New York Style", to me, is that the sauces are just a little different than what you get in most Chinese restaurants locally.
The restaurant has recently replaced the tables and chairs which were not very high quality when the restaurant first opened maybe two year ago with more substantial furniture. The lunch and dinner combos serve you a lot of food for not much money. The owners are nice people too. Nothing special, but a good value. Give it a try.
