“Great getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2008

I'm staying here over the Thanksgiving 2008 period. The hotel is off of highway 10 and west of the highway 10 and 12 merge. It was easy getting on and off of the highway. Constitution Avenue has other hotels to choose from. There are places to eat and shop off of College Drive. Examples include Albertson's,Radio Shack, Mcdonalds, Walmart, and movie theater. Checkin was usual. This Comfort Inn had the cheapest rates for what I was looking for in a hotel in the area. The bed was comfortable with 5 pillows. The shower/bathroom was usual. The cable TV had over 60 stations. There were a few pay per view movies to choose from using the phone. The room had a microwave & fridge. The breakfast I thought was below normal as for options. The WIFI speed was great. The room had a couch. The laundry facilities included 1 washer and 1 dryer that were both 4 quarters. I used both. The two things that I highly liked about the dryer was the Extra high heat setting and the 4 quarters lasted about 1 hour. I passed by the exercise area and it looked small but I never used it.

  • Liked — Lower prices compared to the area, great dryer, room was close to exit, hotel location, WIFI
  • Disliked — breakfast choices

This hotel is being remodeled. The bottom floor is not complete, and the halls were covered in butcher paper to protect the new carpet. I am not saying that is bad, it just is.

The location is great right off of Constitution and College. There are tons of resturants and stores in the area.

The rooms are decent. If you get the rooms for around $100 then you are about right. I wouldnt pay any more than that.

The big issue is the curtains. My room on the second floor only had sheers on the windows. This means that the red lights from the Embassy Suites next door and the lights in the parking lot were very bright in the room. Way too bright for comfort.

The breakfast was good but if you are there early, everything is frozen. Just somethng to look for.

Husband and I stayed for two nights with a large group who occupied 15 rooms. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff - clean, comfortable and cool (very important in 95 degree heat) - typical breakfast. The staff worked very hard to keep people happy. Several hotels lined down the street. This is the least expensive. I can't find anything to complain about. The only problem with kids might be that there is no pool.

  • Liked — The rooms were comfortable and clean.
  • Disliked — There was no pool.

Renovated, friendly, quiet, hotel in south Baton Rouge, We were pleasantly surprised. Next door hotels were all about $50 more in price. Excellent choice for a value and quality traveler like us.
We would certainly stay here again.

There was an empty box of condoms behind the refrigerator, items missing from the bathroom that were not replenished prior to my stay. The room wasn't even cleaned the second day of my stay.

There are many other hotels in the same block as this one. Do yourself a favor and stay at one of them.

My family and I spent a night here on our way to Florida. The hotel is located in a fairly safe area and the room and breakfast met our expectations. The linens and bathroom appeared to be clean. For the price, it was certainly adequate. When compared with some of the other places we encountered on the journey, it could have been much worse.

As a traveler that normally stays at Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inns, I wasn't sure what to expect of the Comfort Inn.

The exterior and lobby areas are fine. The rooms are in need of updating. The wallpaper was peeling form the walls, carpets stained, and I awoke to find a cockroach on the floor.

If you need somewhere economical to stay one night, the Comfort Inn would be okay. If you can afford better, I would go there.
