Baton Rouge Chase Suites is an unbelievable value for the money. The suites contain one or two bedrooms, a cozy living area, a dining area, a kitchen area (fully loaded, complete with icemaker.) The living area even includes a fire place! The bedroom(s) can be closed off from the other living areas. Suites also include separate dressing area(s).

As important as all of the above is, the employees are excellent, also. We had to go to a meeting in the pouring rain. Of course, the umbrellas were in the car. The front desk clerk lent us her personal umbrella. This is just one example of their hospitality. Warm complimentary breakfasts and happy hours also included.

Clean rooms, great pool area. Great price. They also accept state rates for official LA state business.

  • Liked — The cozy home like atmosphere in the suit, the cleanliness, and the comfortable bed!
  • Disliked — Can't think of anything that was a negative about any of my stays here.

Stayed at the Chase Suites Feb. 15-19 for visiting family in town. Check-in went through o.k. but the other website had not updated that hotel is smoke-free now. You can go outside to smoke which was fine. The desk manager on duty was very nice and provided menus for nearby restaurants. We go to our room to unpack and call some friends on our cellphone that we're in town, let's get together. We're sitting in the living area and the door opens. It's some guy with his late lunch and he asks If this is our room?? (We had not noticed but he used an electronic key to open the door.) He apologizes and goes back to the manager. A little while later, we're outside the room and he explains the mixup that he was experiencing, one of the clerks comes in with an apology bag (for us.) They had "lost" their previously reserved room and had spent 3 hours waiting for desk to resolve the problem they created.
The rooms are O.K. but we found some flaws; the closet space is not large enough to store two 25" luggage and hang up clothes.
The kitchen area is miniscule (not enough clearance tor the stove door to open properly and the bathroom was a tad strange.
We hardly used all the other items (t.v., combo alarm/CD player) but it was fine for the reduced price we arranged online. Forget the regular full price for the suite. Not worth it. We were in a bottom unit so heavy footed people above were heard but again, not a real problem. We had to go everyday of the 4 day stay to get our key cards recharged for the room. Definitely, a major problem and inconvienence. We only used the breakfast buffet once due to meeting family for all other meals. The buffet was nice, far superior to other types we've had at other hotels. The only remaining problem was checking out. We had to leave at 4:00. The lobby is locked and we were never infrormed of this policy nor given a reminder prior to checkout. We spent 30 minutes getting that resolved before having to race to the airport to make it through the all required period of 2 hours preflight checkin. So, would I recommend this hotel? Yes, it is centrally located, the price was right (via travel website) but I will recommend craveats based on my experience. It's not really the place for toddlers, tweens or teenagers. It's definitely geared to young professionals and up in age. We only saw one child during our visit and that was at the breakfast buffet.

Was Brought to Baton Rouge for a Team Tennis Tournament, which included ~ 2000 players. We had several guys from the same team staying together at the Chase Suites. Our Reservations were for 2 - 2 Bedroom Units. Upon checking in, we were told "due to overbooking", we would be put in 1 - 2 bedroom unit and 2 single units. Wasn't too big of an issue, just no what we expected or wanted. I was assured they would get the billing correct and just charge us for 2 - 2 bedroom units. HA!!! Far from it. After several phone calls and quite a bit of time spent, I'm still waiting for the charges to be straightened out. The Hotel was fairly convenient, although it sits on a one way street and exiting the Hotel, you're forced to exit away from the major interstate (I-10). The complimentary Breakfast was less than desired. Rooms were adequate size and satisfactorily clean. Would I stay again? possibly, but doubt it.

The crew at this location is outstanding! The accomodations are very comfortable, and their amenities are great.

When our entire HVAC system died, it coincided with one of the hottest days on record in Baton Rouge. My husband and I found ourselves scrambling around in a 90 degree house at 9 o’clock that night, trying to find a place to stay, as staying at home was out of the question.

Since we have two cats, I contacted the emergency vet we deal with to see about boarding the cats and was told that they did not board on the weekends. As such, we were left in a position of having to find lodging where pets were accepted. We called the suites-hotel closest to us (cough, Amerisuites, cough), only to be first yes, then – after being left on hold for almost 10 minutes – no, they would not take pets. We then called Chase/Woodfin Suites and were immediately assured that, although a deposit was required, they did take pets.

We were given a lovely (and cool!) room/suite. Roderick and the team with which he works took outstanding care of us and our cats and we are so grateful for all their help.

I can whole-heartedly recommend this suites hotel to anyone looking for top notch service and pet-friendly accomodations.
