My husband & I were in town for a wedding. Most of the other wedding guests that came into town also stayed there. From the reviews that I read prior to my stay, my expectations were very low. I am glad to say that my experience was not at all negative. The staff was helpful and amiable when we checked in and requested extra pillows & towels. Our room with a queen sized bed was a bit on the small side; yet, it was clean--which is the most important thing. Since we only stayed for two nights, I felt these accommdations met our basic needs. The hotel's breakfast selection consisted of assorted bagels, blueberry muffins, biscuits, gravy, assorted cerels incl. instant oatmeal, grits, make-you-own belgin waffles, fruit cocktail and apple/orange juices/milk/coffee. The breakfast selection suited us, so we ended up eating breakfast at the hotel throughout our stay. There is also Waffle House and Shoney's nearby in case you want more variety. Overall, I think this a good place to stay if you're in town for a brief stay. The hotel is very accessible from the interstate and close to a variety of restaurants and retail stores.

Hotel was well located just off the interstate and across the street from a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. The rooms were very large and well appointed. The manager arranged for us to have connecting rooms and was very nice
Howerver maintenance and service were well below par. Paint chips and scratches were everywhere. Our door didn't have a stop so they cut a hole in the sheetrock so the door handle and lock would pass through into the space between the studs. The sink stopper was missing and someones toothpaste top was stuck in the drain. Pieces of the metal bed frame were sticking out so much that you had to be careful to keep from hitting your shin on it.
The front desk clerk was indifferent to blase toward us as we checked in. She was more interested in swaying to the "rap" music blaring on the radio.
Breakfast was sparse and poorly presented. There was a dispenser for 3 different cereals but only the cheerios was partially supplied. When we asked for more choices the attendent was surley and pulled some muffins from the cabinets under the counter and left without saying a word to us.
Although the price was low ($52) I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Thankfully, we switched to the Microtel after having a bad experience at the Days Inn close by. They worked with us and found us a room quickly so we could get ready for a wedding we were going to. If you want a basic, nice, clean, cheap hotel room...this is the one. Added bonus~ There is a mini golf, go-cart, etc. right next door.
