“great place to rest my head for a night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Very decent hotel. Friendly staff and the bed was amazing... it was so soft I called for a late check out just so I could stay in bed! I was only in town for a night but the location was convenient and the value was unsurpassed.

I checked in without difficulty, even though the 2 staff members at the front desk were busy, they handled the influx of guests well. The room was HORRIBLE. I asked for none smoking....I left feeling like I slept in a bar-room all night. The sheets on the bed were clean...I hope....the towels smelled like mildew, the tub had HORRIBLE water-stains....and then there were the spiders in the bathroom area. Then there were the plethora of shopping bags in the closet that were left from the previous guest I presume, from the local outlet mall shopping spree they obviously enjoyed. There were MANY. Oh and don't forget the opened coke cans in the mini-fridge from the last person to occupy the space. I'll admit that this was a last minute down to the wire desperate booking, but $236.00 for a one night stay in the equivalent of a roach motel was UNACCEPTABLE! Wish I could get that money back and just take the chance driving home!

It's cheaper than most other hotels in BR. If you don't care about a little smell, difficulty of ingress and egress, and lousy breakfast food, go for it. Good location, near LSU. What more can I say? Enough for 200 characters.

I was expecting the quality that the other La Quinta's offered. I asked if the room was NONsmoking and was told it was. Once in the room, it smelled like an ashtray. There was a plastic cover for a disposable razor was on the bathroom floor. There were yellow stains in the shower. And stains on the bedding. The towels were even dirty. The staff was nice tho. I know they can't help their location, but it was kind of scary. I won't be staying there again.

Room Tip: Either upgrade or go somewhere else. Check the room out before you move into the room.

Took my child and a friend to a concert. The room served its purpose. We had issues with the room (a/c; light fixture and plug not working); however, the hotel staff was quick to rectify the situation.

Its true that this is no Marriott, but that's not what I wanted to pay for. This was an exceptionally economical hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the building and rooms were well maintained.
