“Excellent Pasta, Soups”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Nino's is a great value for lunch, with outstanding pasta dishes, with soup or salad, for $12.00. Nowhere else can you get this kind of value, with inventive pasta dishes and homemade soups.

“Small place, huge flavor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012 via mobile

Baton Rouge has some great Italian places: Ruffino's, Gino's, and DeJulio's. Add Nino's to that list. I can't believe I haven't eaten here sooner. Although the restaurant is dug back in a shopping center and is a very small space (15 tables?), the food delivers like a big top notch restaurant. I actually loved the "hole in the wall" feeling. I felt like I was in on some great secret. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and GREAT food. I'll definitely be back.

Highlights: the pork chop with potatoes scallopini and braised greens (the chef's favorite), the chicken alfredo, and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

“Won't go back again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012 via mobile

My child's pizza was over cooked and tasted like a cheap frozen pizza. My lasagna was barely warm and not as tasty as I had hoped from reading other reviews. What a dissappointment.

“Great little Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Elton and Randy (owners) are a delightful young couple who have put their heart and souls into making wonderful Italian dishes. The homemade pasta dishes are varied and so tasty. Elton will come out of the kitchen to talk with you and tell you how he makes these great dishes. The brie and tomato pasta is mouth watering and I love their lasagna. Please try both dishes - think you will love them. Also, the bread that Elton makes is just right for dipping in olive oil. Randy runs the front and keeps everything going smoothly.

“Best Italian in Baton Rouge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2012

I have been to Nino's many times and leave completely satisfied every single time. The place is small and has a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. They have a decent number of wines and menu with many great options. Their caprese is absolutely delicious because it is made with fresh ingredients and topped with the perfect amount of balsamic glaze and a tinge of herbs. Their freshly made pasta and sauces are also excellent. My personal favorites are the Gorgonzola and the Tomato and Brie pastas, but Basil Pesto is always tasty. Finish the meal with Chocolate Decadence and you're set. The best part is you get all of this for a decent price!
