“Nooooo! Say it isn't so”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

They removed the seafood lasagna from the menu! I've been dreaming about this stuff for two years! So sad. The crawfish etouffee was a good backup. Chimes is always on the list of places we visit when traveling through Baton Rouge. You won't be disappointed. Great vibe, reasonable prices and great food. If you are a beer drinker, even more so.

“Great local food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

You know that the food must be good if the locals go. Chimes has some great local specials, with a lively atmosphere. The service was great..

“Crawfish Mac & Cheese”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

The crawfish mac and cheese is to die for. The 3 cheeses along with the Louisiana crawfish tailmeat is a dish no one else does.

“I wish this place was in Austin!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

This place must have 60 taps of draft beer, with lots in interesting selections. (However, they should upgrade their beer list to include IBUs and beer type.) And the food is awesome, too. We had the boudin balls (I've had better but these were fine), crawfish mac & cheese (great) and the boudin omelet with gravy (yum). Diet before you go. Our waitress was wonderful, too; very patient as we made our decisions.

I live in Austin and the University of Texas doesn't have any place like this (crazy-good beer selection plus great food) near the campus.

“Oysters & Draft Just Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

For a city without craft breweries, the Chimes is a beer lover's oasis and the food is excellent. They have approximately 50 beers on draft with a goodly number from craft breweries, I found it doing a brisk business on a late Saturday afternoon. It is very popular with the college crowd and locals alike. The 1/2 price oysters on the half shell $5.50 a dozen at the 4-7 PM Happy Hour which definitely got my attention. The food I saw going by looked great. People have a great time here and I would happily become a regular if I didn't live on the central California coast.
