Traveling back to Texas from a family reunion in Florida, we were just TOO exhausted to make the trip in one day. We chose Baton Rouge as our stopping point. Still traveling with my 78 yr old Mom who is handicapped, we decided to look for a Hilton Inn for our stop as we had just had such a good experience at the one in Florida. Letting Tom-Tom take the lead, (our GPS) we ended up seemingly out of our way at the airport Hilton. We were so tired, we didn't care. Once again, everything about the room was perfect. We ended up with a suite - which, I kid you not, was almost larger than my youngest daughter's apartment in New Jersey!!! Once we got all settled in, we decided to order room service. We both ordered the herb chicken, salad and fruit cup. Omg. It was delivered HOT. Was delicious and more food than we could eat. I had two glasses of wine. The price? Not any different than if we had eaten downstairs in the very nice dining area. The beds - very comfortable. The bathroom - perfect for a handicapped person. No complaints at all. Even though we hadn't intended to end up out by the airport, it was the perfect - and surprisingly quiet - location. Overall rating -- definitely A+.

Right at the entrance to the airport is a very handy Hilton Garden Inn. Surprisingly there is no expected airport noise. Excellent hot breakfast cooked to order and also buffet style. Staff are extra accommodating, sometimes calling by phone to confirm reservation and to express an early welcome. No plastic or styrofoam cups in the room. And none of those one cup "coffee makers". Handy to freeways that will take you to Hammond and Zachary, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans...less expensive than staying in New Orleans. Hint: East a big breakfast, and or an expansive lunch while you are out and about, as your dining options in the immediate area are primarily fast food. Having said that, this particular Hilton Garden Inn does serve dinner (not all do) and has an honor bar.

The hotel was attractive and the staff was all friendly. Would have liked a simpler breakfast option - 12.95 was a little pricey if we were just wanting some cereal and fruit. But we did have other options like the pantry items (not sure what was available in there for breakfast) or storing our own food in our room.
The room was comfortable and for the most part quiet. There were people yelling down the hall late the first night and children under 18 (looked about 9 or 10) playing in the fitness center when we went to check it out.

Arrived late due to the airline and simply needed a good night's sleep before a customer meeting the next day.... Some delay at check-in, but believe it was due to all of us arriving on the late plane. Once to the room, found a dirty stain on the floor in the bathroom and cockroach in the tub. The front staff kindly assigned me to another room quickly - thank you! No issues with the new room. However, the fire alarm went off, not once, not twice, but three separate times before I had to depart at 8am the next morning. One alarm at 2am and another at 4ish. The last was during breakfast in the dining area in the morning. After that, my co-worker and I decided that this is probably the last time we'd stay at this location. The breakfast staff were not terribly attentive - perhaps they were tired too. HGI's are usually a safe bet, but be wary at this one.

GM allowed me to check in early due to business emergency, which was very convenient!
Staff was very professional & courteous!
Room was clean, with all working amenities.
Will definitely return.
Wish the dinner menu had more of a variety, especially since the only close eateries are Subway, IHOP, and Burger King.
