“Very nice accomodations, Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

The hotel is very new and the rooms an great with excellent bed, furniture and TV. I have stayed her serveral times over last 2 years and the staff is always friendly and accomodating. The have an aove avearage breakfast offering and have have enjoyed both their fitness room and outdoor pool. It's located on edge of Baton Rouge on I-10 and is very close to several restuarants including TJ Ribs, Hooters and Twin Peaks,

Room Tip: If you are a Priority Club member you might be able to get upgrades to a larger suite room.

Stayed there last summer, nice property and very good staff. Invited me to come back and offered a military rate. Called them today, rate no longer available. I also happen to be a platinum member of their priority club program. Only able to give you the rate that is published on the website. Other hotels in the area are offering a discounted rate for military personnel so I pick one of them. I'll be back in Baton Rouge for Christmas and will stay somewhere else then as well.

Room Tip: Get annoying they tell you in writing.

We had gotten a late start to Baton Rouge and did not arrive to the hotel till around midnight. This was our first time to this location so we were a little apprehensive. We we got in, I asked for an upgrade because I am a platinum member. Surprised to find out, they had already upgraded me to their largest room. Room was a huge two room suite. Room was great, two TV's and plenty of room to spread out. Staff was very nice, breakfast was decent and we will stay here again. Place is a little hard to find. Was not on my GPS. If you can locate TJ Ribs in Segan. It's right behind there. Next to a Hooter's and Academy Sports. Enjoyed it

I stayed at this hotel for one week in September 2012.
This is a pretty typical H I Express. My room, a single King, was fine.

Breakfast is the typical HI Express fare. Breakfast was mostly available well before the official 6AM schedule time.

The hotel internet is excellent. I measured consistent download speeds of 12-13Mbit/sec and upload at 5.7Mbit/sec. Both wireless and wired internet is available in the room. (I prefer to use a wired connection in the interests of security.)

The hotel has a guest laundry on the third floor. Only one washer and one dryer, so you may have to wait at peak times. OTOH, the machines only cost $1 each which is nice.

Getting to the hotel when coming in off the I-10 highway (exit 163) requires an uncontrolled left turn across traffic on busy Siegen Road. It is possible to make the left turn a light before (at the Cain's fast food place) and work your way along the parking lots until you have reached Siegen Holiday Circle (between Hooters and the Rib place). When traffic is heavy, this can save some time.

During football season we visit Baton Rouge for nearly every home game! We decided to trade in points and stay at this one. We didnt arrive until after the game and a late supper! We were welcomed by a very friendly staff, checked in quickly and given our priority rewards welcome bag with treats! Room was spotless and very nice! Enjoyed the jacuzzi for a night of relaxing after a long day of tailgating. Only down side was that everytime the a/c cut off.... we heard every noise everyone made as they were packing up and leaving the next morning.

This place is a dime a dozen. The only thing that makes this stand out is the paper thin floors as you can hear every move the person is making above you. The funny part is that the front desk just called because the person below me is complaining.

Conveniently located on Seigan, this hotel was a great place to spend a couple of nights in Baton Rouge for the second time.

It's a typical Holiday Inn Express with the usual amenities. The breakfast was very well put together and had an abundance of food. The room was neat and clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The bathroom seemed a bit small- especially when a family of 5 are all trying to get ready for an event in town at the same time.

My only regret is that the hotel did not offer anything extra for Priority Club Platinum members- an upgrade to a suite would have been super, but they may have been already booked- didnt' ask.

Because it is super clean and in a convenient location, I do plan on staying there again.

Room Tip: Get a suite if you've got more than 3 in your party.
