“"A very nice resort"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

A very nice resort and park with a great scenery of mountains. I only went there for the breakfast Buffet. It was very delicious and the price was even better. For only eight dollars there is a variety of food such as hot breakfast, fruit, cereal, and even a muffin tray. The service was great and each server was really attentive. I would definitely recommend the Buffet and also the overall park to local families, tourists, and children. And even simply for someone who loves the mountains.

“Outstanding gem of nature you have to see.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

We hiked all over the area. The view from Lovers Leap and the Natural Bridge is incredible. Amazing that someone forged these hiking trails originally.

“Always a favorite”

Middle Fork Campground is a little jewel. This was our 3rd visit. Love the creek where kids caught lots of little fish, clean facilities, and Mill Creek Lake is readily available!

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Natural Bridge State Resort is a beautiful place with excellent hiking. I recommend hiking up the mountain and taking the skylift down. Tickets are inexpensive for the skylift and it is awesome being able to see for miles while traveling down the mountain.

“Breathe taking , need I say anymore?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

You need to bring a lite back-pack with water and snacks/lunch. Shoes with good traction or hiking boots are necessary items. The slope has some slippery spots with some difficult pitches. You'll need a walking stick or use the wooden rails that are present in the obvious difficult areas. If you are a 'thick' person you'll be dirty from squeezing between the rocks right below the bridge. There are NO GUARD RAILS on top of bridge. Keep tight grip of little children's hands.
Now for the bridge. It is beautiful and well kept. Fantastic hiking trails. Rangers are everywhere for help and questions. The lift is best for younger children and seniors. The selling point is that you get better pictures that you don't see when walking. We did see a snake on the trail too. It gets muddy in spots too. There are nice rest cabanas on your ascent/descent to the top. Bug repellant is helpful when on trails. If you are too tired to hike back down, you'll have a nice walk back to your car if you parked it at the lodge. You must have cash to ride down without purchase prior to hiking up. The lift is at a different spot than most hiking start areas. Rocks are slippery after getting a slight rain. So be careful! Tell kids no running!
Enjoy and don't overlook this precious gem. Nice to be romantic and fun for kids. Has it all.
