While staying at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park, I drove over to Natural Bridge. The trek up the mountain is not a long one, but it is very steep. There are small shelters with benches, along the way, for taking breaks. If you stick it out to the top, you won't be disappointed. You will come to a narrow path cut into the side of the bridge. Get through that, and you will find yourself at the top. You can walk across the bridge and look across the valley to the rock outcroppings in the distance. As I looked out, I could see a snow squall heading my way. Not to worry, the snow was short-lived, and as I descended the mountain, the sun peaked through the clouds once more. There is a tram to take you to the top, but check for seasons and hours of operation. I didn't explore other parts of the park, as my day was growing short, but I'm sure there is plenty to see.
