“Whatever you do, don't forget the camera!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

While staying at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park, I drove over to Natural Bridge. The trek up the mountain is not a long one, but it is very steep. There are small shelters with benches, along the way, for taking breaks. If you stick it out to the top, you won't be disappointed. You will come to a narrow path cut into the side of the bridge. Get through that, and you will find yourself at the top. You can walk across the bridge and look across the valley to the rock outcroppings in the distance. As I looked out, I could see a snow squall heading my way. Not to worry, the snow was short-lived, and as I descended the mountain, the sun peaked through the clouds once more. There is a tram to take you to the top, but check for seasons and hours of operation. I didn't explore other parts of the park, as my day was growing short, but I'm sure there is plenty to see.

“A great first time to Red River Gorge trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Easy, wide path for beginner hikers and slightly older folks. I think they have a ski lift for the disabled and elderly. Limited run times.
No pets allowed is why I've not been in many years, plus the wild Red River Gorge is across the street, that's the place to be.

“Pleasant stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Natural Bridge is a good place to take a break when traveling on the Mountain Parkway. The natural rock formation is reached by a steep rock path through light forest. If you are modestly fit it is worth the effort to see the bridge. A Ky State Lodge and restaurant offer tasty state park food and pleasant rustic lodgings.

“Steep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

The view from natoral bridge at sunset is spectacular. The hike up to natural bridge at the end of a long day is grueling. It was only a little over a mile, but it is ALL uphill. Downhill as it gets dark is not any easier. But it IS worth it.

“Great place for a family hike!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012 via mobile

Beautiful place to take your kids for some family time. We all enjoyed the hike up to the top of the mountain, the paddle boats and the scenery.
