“Horrible-walls so thin we had to leave in the middle of the night because of the x-rated activity next door”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2011 via mobile

Keep driving..we had never stayed at this chain before we normally stay in a Hampton but this location didn't take pets so we choose the Jameson. First off they have double bed which are tiny. We were traveling with our two children and are avid travelers. We were given a room that was in the middle of two ajoining rooms. It was after 10 when we checked in. We were awaken by the drunk people on the other side by swearing and just being loud. We called the front desk . But it didn't get better it got worse because now me and my family hot to listen to them have very loud sex. I have never been in a hotel with such thin walls. We called again we were told these people were drunk when they checked in and that they had called them to be quiet. By this point we had had it. We left at 2am. We were told we would not be charged for the room which is really no consolation for having to deal with vulgarity. We just wanted to get out of there. As we checked out we encountered the GM and she said she was staying across the hall and heard nothing. She admitted she should have
called the police. Besides our issues the rooms are way over priced. The lamps didn't have all their bulbs in them. Stains on sheets and bathroom had lingering smell of urine. Stay at the Hampton or anywhere else.

I stay here for business once a month . The staff goes over the top to help you . It is close to great restaurants and shopping . The hotel is small, safe and always clean. I would highly recommend .
Nancy and Charles are the greatest managers.

If you want non-smoking be sure to request a room without a smoking room above or below you--particularly if you are on the second floor as the west end has smoking rooms on the 1st and 3rd floors. Otherwise you will have a smoke smell in your room through the bathroom shared exhaust ventilation system. Also, my first room literally had electrical tape holding together the lightbulb switch of a lamp. The lamp was not plugged in and I took the hint and chose to leave it that way. Also, do not expect televisions from this century. I would not stay there again.

Just our second stay in two weeks and we were not disappointed. This location was rated 2 of 14 in the area. Based on our first Jameson Inn experience in Calhoun, GA, we decided to start with another Jameson. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and a delicious breakfast was provided the next day. Highly recommend.

This is a nice little gem on Interstate 75 in Richmond. It is a little less expensive than surrounding hotels, but offers about the same level of service. My room was small, but clean and nicely decorated. There was a nice pool and complementary breakfast with hot and cold selections. The eggs were not too good, but everything else, including make yourself waffles, was great. The staff is exceptionally nice and the place was clean. Lots to do within walking distance which was great on a warm summer night. I also had a microwave, coffeemaker and refrigerator. There is also fee wifi in each room, which I especially liked. I have been charged quite a lot for that in other so-called "luxury hotels."

I was pleasantly surprised and will stay here again when I am in the area.

The front desk staff was friendly and our room was clean. Although we reserved a king size bed, we were given two standard beds - the bed was comfortable and included extra pillows. The facility is beginning to shows signs of wear. Breakfast is typical for the "free" breakfast offerings (make your own waffles, juice, dry cereal, sausage & gravy, muffins, etc.).
A few minor issues - although on a non smoking floor, the hall had a slight smoke oder, the bathroom in on the smallish side and one mini bar of soap was provided for two people.
Nearby restaurants within a very short walking distance are: Steak & Shake, Bob Evans, Ryans and Starbucks.
NOTE: Don't be alarmed by the large number of police cars that may be in the motel's parking lot. Police from various Kentucky towns go to nearby Eastern Kentucky University for continuing education courses and use the Jameson Inn as their lodging.
