we have been too butcher hollow and visited with herman. what an incredible amount of history and Hospitality.
also while we where in town we visited the NEW U.S.23 country music hwy, museum in Paintsville.
the staff and tour is excellent. lots of Memorbilia of Loretta Lynn, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tom T Hall, The Judds and others.
the Museum gift shop is nice with great stuff to return home with for gifts. things that you don't find just anywhere.

It was a real experience to visit Butcher Hollow, Kentucky and see the birthplace of Loretta Lynn.
Nestled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky the drive alone is very scenic . Lorettas brother runs the tours, and he is very down to earth and super nice ,dont be surprised to find him with his grandson in the field in front of the cabin tending to his mules. You get to go inside the cabin and see how mountain folks once lived,and see the many photos on display there.My family and I were surprised at how much we enjoyed out trip.
