“Worth a visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

Did a daytrip with a friend (Evansville IN to Paducah) and we had a great time! The Quilt Museum is intriquing, even for non-quilters such as myself.....although I have since started learning to quilt!!! We checked out a few of the art shops/galleries in Lower Town, too. It was a perfect day trip. We ate lunch at the local bakery/deli across the street from Cynthia's.....cannot recall the name, but we enjoyed it!

Beautiful display of British quilts. Not just your little old fashioned quilts. An art form in itself!! Well worth the detour off the highway for anyone.

“This is the Mecca for Quilters, fibre artists, and anyone who loves fine art”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

National Quilt Museum showcases some of the finest quilts made. Three huge galleries were filled with over 100 exquisitely made art quilts and traditional quilts. Each quilt is appropriately and respectfully displayed. Seating is available in the gallery, so you can savour the details as long as you wish. Displays rotate on a regular basis. The previous 4 winners of the annual American Quilters Society show are purchased by the Museum, and are shown for a year. These form the permanent collection, which are also rotated with shows from other areas and countries. Their gift shop has well made local items, and a huge selection of top notch quilting books. This is definitely a "must visit" venue.

“Great Experience”

What a tremendous amount of work that people put in to making the quilts. It got my wife's interest back on, she is upstairs quilting as we speak!
