“Great addition to the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

What a great idea of town planners to add these beautiful murals by Robert Dafford to the otherwise boring flood wall that spans the city on the river side. Well worth the visit and what a nice stroll along the river.

“Neat Look at History, one of a kind”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

The Floodwall Murals themselves are hand painted depictions of local history. Very well done with plaques explaining each. Parking near by makes for an easy enjoyable stroll to view them all. Don't forget to visit the local shops and eateries. You won't be disappointed. Paducah has done a great job to revitalize this historic downtown area.

What a great idea! The flood was is beautiful and contains so much history. Brought back a lot of childhood memories. I have been there several times and I see something new each time. We never get tired of seeing this.

“A great history of Paducah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

What a gift to the city and to all those that visit. A complete pictorial history of this riverside town. You can walk it ,if the weather is nice, or drive very slowly and stop at each mural for those who don't want to walk

“Impressive Piece of Art Work”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Located along the Paducah riverfront the Paducah Floodwall Murals are an excellent set of murals painted along the Paducah floodwall. Different murals represent different historical periods and events in Paducah. Beginning with the settlement and creation of Paducah as a busy riverfront city, through the Civil War era and all the way through the Industrial revolution and the Atomic age. Located at the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio rivers, Paducah is a much overlooked historical area of interest. Well worth a nostalgic walk down memory lane to a representation of America's Heartland at it's finest. It might make you reminisce of the days of the nickel cup of coffee.
