“What a great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

We have never eaten here before this past weekend. We bought one of those half price deals and decided to give it a try. Everything was wonderful. It's a small funky little place in an old home a few blocks from the Levee. Decorated with everything from Virgin Mary statues to Elvis memorbillia... I think that about covers it! Service was very good. Nice pace so you didn't feel rushed. Food was amazing. Appetizers were some of the best we have ever had and the tilapia sandwich was as well. We both left stuffed and with two appetizers, two fish sandwiches, an upcharge for jalapeno grits as my side and two beers, the total bill was only about $50, before applying the deal certifcate we had. Great food, service and a good value. We'll be back!!

“Great and Funky”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

York Street Cafe decor is eclectic to say the least. The menu is unusual and always good. Our most recent visit was for dinner with two friends and everyone enjoyed their meal. The prices are reasonable and they offer great special wine prices on Wednesday.

“Another Superb Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

The York Street Cafe has become my go-to place for visits to family in the Cincinnati /Northern Kentucky area. The decor is entrancing, with the most eclectic collection of statues, luggage, knick-knacks, instruments, tables and chairs, wall-hangings and anything else that suits the eye.

Meals are amazing. One should really not cite specific dishes as there is nothing on the menu or in the specials that disappoints. The fresh fish is always amazing, no matter how it is prepared. Meats and poultry are given star treatments but are never coarse. Veggies and starches have a natural flavor with bits to highlight their specialness. Desserts are a must, even if you take them home for a later delight.

Try to get Chris as your server. He'll treat you to his special insights such as a sauce for the basmati rice or oils for bread dipping. And his voice and presentation are as smooth as fine crime.

Plan on at least two hours to really savor this experience. Just writing this review makes me want to book my next trip to the area!

“Great Little Find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

A wonderful little neighborhood place. We enjoyed a delightful meal, a burger and salad for my husband and blackened shrimp over jalapeño cheese grits for me, finished with a really nice traditional chocolate cake ( and I'm very fussy about cake). Only hassle is they don't take reservations and you have to find a place to park on the street. But worth it!

“Never fails to inspire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

This is my second trip to this restaurant. Outstanding! This time I had a small autumn salad that was to die for and mussels in a sauce that was pure heaven. I had room for a few bites of chocolate mocha layer cake, mmmm. Add an eclectic atmosphere and excellent service and you have a winning formula. If you are in the area, don't miss this experience.
