“Worst Hotel Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2011

This hotel was bad. The room was terrible. The bed was lumpy, it was ice cold when you first went into the room. The exercise room had 3 machines in it that were probably from the 80's for god sake and the water cooler in the exercise room was empty. The tap water in the bathroom tasted like you were drinking chlorine straight. The room smelled like cigarettes too.

My wife and I were just in Maysville over the weekend for her 25th class reunion. Without question, this is the place to stay. While the hotel is about 5 years old, it's very much in excellent condition and has all of the amenities -- including free hot breakfast! -- and great service that one would expect from this Hilton brand.

So, if you're not staying with friends or relatives while in this northeastern Kentucky town, stay here -- you won't be disappointed.

This is a typical Hampton Inn -- clean, comfortable, with excellent service. Offered a free breakfast.

We stayed two nights at this hotel while we were in town for a job interview. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The first night there was a fire alaarm that went off around 3 am. Then the second night there were kids running up and down the hall until late at night. This was not the hotel's fault, but the parents.

I loved this hotel. the two twins working the front desk were absolutely helpful. my family lost our electric due to bad weather and these ladies were so nice and accomodating. in the middle of the night i had a issue with my commode and the gentleman working night shift(marcus i think was his name) was more than happy to come and plunge my commode for me. the breakfast was more than great and the breakfast host was very nice and helpful. this hotel not only looked clean but smelled beautiful. i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the maysville area!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2009

During the last week of January 2009 the Midwest had a terrible snow and ice storm that knocked out the electricity in our hometown of Manchester, OH. After one night of the bitter cold huddled under every blanket in the house, we decided to venture out to local Maysville, KY to see if they had power. They did, thank goodness. We approached the Hampton Inn around 11:30AM to check for availability and while they didn't have a double room for my family of 4, they did have a king room and a roll-away bed; and since they didn't have what we wanted, they were happy to give us a discount on the rate. We were allowed to check in at 3:30PM, and found that we were given the spacious handicap accessible room to allow for the roll-away. We had a 4 cubic foot fridge, a full size microwave, a 4 cup coffee pot, and a HD television. All for under $100 for a last minute booking on a busy night. The staff was friendly, helpful, always smiling despite the crowd. The breakfast was delicious and comforting. My only problem was the ice in the parking lot, but that was a weather issue and not exactly something the staff could take care of.

We were in Maysville for a family reunion and decided to stay the night rather than drive 5 hours home. We found the Hampton Inn tucked back behind the Tumbleweed Restaurant and figured we would try it out. We were with our 10 year old son and his friend and after an entire weekend with these 2 being boys, we needed adjoining rooms or a suite. The front desk was very helpful and worked with us to get adjoining rooms which worked out wonderfully. This property was very nice and quiet. The pool is a little small but served the purpose for the boys. The breakfast served was nice with biscuits, sausage, fruit, etc. Also, it was nice to grab some Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the evening to soothe the savage 10 year old beasts! We will definately stay at this property when we return for future family reunions.
