We stay at this place every year on our trip from Columbus, Ohio to various Kentucky state parks. We've never been disappointed but we were especially surprised, pleasantly, this year. We reserved a room several months in advance, as is our practice, but all the river view rooms (the place is right on the river with a great view) were booked because of an event going on in town. Apparently someone who reserved a river-view suite cancelled at the last minute and we were up-graded into it at no additional cost. The suite had one bedroom and another full room. There were two televisions, plus a full and a half bath.
All the hotel's rooms seem to be almost overly lavish, or maybe even a trifle gaudy. But afterall, it is the French Quarter, however everything is neat and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I think each room has its own "jacuzzi" which is really an oversized bathtub with bubbling jets under the water line. The establishment has a restaurant that serves a buffet breakfast. It's nothing remarkable but nice enough. There's also a bar on the gound floor but I've only seen it open once or twice. That's okay. Other things more than make up for it.
