“Hotel ok for average holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

very big rooms but they are not cleaned every day. the food is ok, but they do not have such a big variety as I found in other Turkish resorts. The beach is very dirty, full of bottles and plastic cups. No one ever cleaned it. The sea water is fine, very clear, though the entrance is abrupt and full of stone. Special shoes are required especially for kids.

small room, desapointed about cleaning service, far from 5 stars, restaurant good, but not for 5 stars, pool ok, beach disaster, must cross under the road in a tunel,... rocks and sand, need special shoes, the sea very deep right from 2 meters, only 5-9 persons in water too dangerous, i will not go anytyme in TURKEY. in TUNISIA was beter 10 times, at 5 stars hotel EL MOURADI PALM MARINA.

bad luck i guess

Rooms spotless, there was four in our room, a little cramped, but spotlessly kept clean . Food was very good . Pool was brilliant for little kids, the beach is ok,but there is 20 odd metres of shaley stones prior to the sea, which isn't ideal for younger kids , and sea drops sharply after a couple of metres .the lager is poor and the red wine is drinkable , but the white is ok . The entertainment is ok. Not many British people around, but suited me fine . The only problem I had is that there are no bars near the hotel . But overhaul it's a good hotel if you have a young family

The begin with, this hotel is declared as 5 star hotel but is far from that.Having in mind that we are talking about turkish star system i would rate this hotel with a solid 3.
The hotel is in the middle of no where. It is actually near a main road who goes by the seaside in southern Turkey. It is between Manavgat and Alanya.
If you want fun and actually visit shops or go sight seeing this is not the place to be.Go to Alanya and thank me later for the advice.
Cenger was actually opened this year in July and that is why the prices were reasonable.
Stuff at the reception are actually teenagers.I must say that their attitude was not professional at all.Standing more than 30 minutes to get a room, then barging about a room with a view and asking for tips.Typical turkish mentality but definitely not something i have experienced in other 5 star hotels.
After long arguments and my refusal to pay tip we were given room at the top store of the hotel who had a side view to the sea.
Food is ok,there is plenty of it and it was fresh. It can get very crowded and that is why i recommend eating earlier. We had three meals and snacks in between who were mainly chips, cookies, pasta and one thing i liked was that you could eat at the facility at the hotel's beach.
Drinks were free, the beer sucked but since there wasn;t anything else to do i was spending my time drinking at the bar near the pool.
The hotel has a really nice and big pool so if you just like to spend time lying and doing nothing you can be just fine.
The tourist were mainly Germans and Britons and some from Russia.
Do not expect to hear to much English from the stuff. They are experts in German and almost all of them speaks or knows German.
The beach is ok,it has nice sand and free of charge beach beds which is really nice.
The sea was dangerous though.Waves were high, after couple of meters it is deep enough for not letting a child go in unattended.
Rooms were ok with one exception-the floor is slippery ,My GF almost broke her leg after slipping and was hurt really bad.I have complained to the stuff and all they could offer was to clean up the floor???
So don;t say i didn';t warn you.
I liked the guys who were responsible for animation. They really did a great job. They were young and funny and would animate people couple of times during the day and at the evening they would bring some dancers.I even had the opportunity to dance with a real belly dancer:))
To wrap it up.If you are a person that wants a peaceful vacation and not really going into sight seeing and shopping-you;ll be fine.
If you like more hectic type of vacation go to Alanya where the real fun is happening.

Room Tip: If u give good tip you can have any room with a view
