The Seelbach is so beautiful and we really enjoyed our night here. The room was cozy, but plenty big for two people. The queen bed was comfortable and the walk in shower was really nice. The bathroom was plenty big for us, even though it was smaller than a lot of bathrooms - I care more that it was clean and had good water pressure, which it did. I would definitely stay here again and next time plan to try the fancy restaurant - wish we had brought nicer clothes and we would have.

We loved the old building. The room was charming but small the four poster bed would have been really cool had one of the post ends not been broken off and then taped back on. We got late night room service and when placing the plates outside the room noticed dried food on the bottom. I told the front desk and they were sorry and said that is not the 5 diamond service they provide and would remove the charge. It was not on the room bill when I checked out or got that months bill but a month later I got my credit card bill and the charge was on it. Might stay again if the rate is good but won't order room service.

The bar is also VERY expensive we were charged $22.00 for 3 drinks.

I was at the Seelbach for two days in connection with a professional meeting at a good rate ($99 for a sizable single). The only problem with the room was the small shower (no tub) with a haphazard door that could not be fastened securely enough to keep water from collecting in puddles on the floor of the bathroom. For some reason, I was on the 8th floor, one of two Executive floors that have access to a splendid concierge service with pretty extensive breakfasts (boiled eggs, bagels, English muffins, cream cheese, marmalade, etc.), as well as snacks and desserts throughout the day.
As others note, parking can be expensive and difficult to understand; I didn't have time to check it out, but I probably could have saved at least half of the parking charge by going to a lot or garage down the block.
Desk staff and bell staff all very helpful. A bargain for the money.

* I am a business traveler. Stayed in Feb 06. HHonors level 6 non-concierge. $169. Stay was great the hotel is so nice and classy. Starbuck's on site is nice but they close early and do not stay open very late. Room was small - but ideal for 1-2 people. Big bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom was small with a pedastal sink, glass walk-in shower and toilet that a bit noisy. The TV was a nice size and 2 bottles of water was great too. The onsite bar was great. GOod drinks and good jazz. I did not go to the nice restaurant onsite but I did walk by on the way to the fitness center. FItness center had 5-6 machines with nice wondows overlooking 4th street. Just down the road from 4th Strret Live was great. Stay here for sure again!
