Because of a prior superb dinner at the English Grill of the Brown, my wife and I tried the Brown for 2 nights while visiting Louisville, expecially because the room rate for AAA members was so reasonable. And the location was wonderful for attending the Brown Theater around the corner. The "deluxe" room was very spacious and comfortable (not really luxurious, but the hotel public areas certainly are). Compared to the other classic hotel down the street, our room was much brighter and the temperature controls were flawless. Several bellmen of Hungarian origin were very helpful and personable, and are a credit to the hotel, indeed. Yes, we have already booked the same room for the same time next year.
