“What a great place!!! Had a wonderful vacation! 5 Stars in my book. Sad to leave.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We had a great family vacation at the Louisville Hyatt. We had planned to stay for 3 nights, but stayed an extra because the hotel was so nice and we were having a blast in Louisville. The staff was great from the moment we pulled up after a long drive. Very helpful, nice and understanding. They were all smiles and treated us as family. We have children 4-9 and we felt right at home even though it is a downtown location. The hotel was very clean, our room was spacious. The location can't be better, we kept driving around and seeing the other hotels we were looking at and saying, Thank Goodness we picked the Hyatt. It is right next to the visitor center, We stopped by on our way out for a walk and they loaded us up with coupons for all the sights we wanted to see. The hotel has lots of food choices within a block. You can walk to the trolley that takes you to all the sites. The breakfast is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The buffet has something for everyone so yummy. The best Sausage Gravy I've every had, made fresh. The chicken sausage is to die for. Plus fresh fruit and egg beater frittata. Made to order pancakes, waffles or french toast. Anything you could ever want for breakfast bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and the yummiest muffins. Our waitress was amazing, they greeted us every morning and had our table waiting for us. Truly felt like family and they spoiled us rotten. My son gave our waitress a big hug as we headed out-she made our trip.. We were sad to leave our home away. The pool is very nice and great temperature. So fun at night as it is kind of dark in there and the pool is neon blue. The outdoor tennis courts are a bonus. The hotel can be a little noisy because of the layout, but I'm really picky about noise and it didn't bother me. We put a towel rolled up at the bottom of our door each night and it seemed to help. I used the fit center most days and the treadmills all worked perfectly and have a tv right in them. Have cool towels there to cool off-like I said spoiled rotten. The Hyatt helped us make family memories while we spent some quality time together. They are the epitome of Southern Hospitality.

The bed was harder than a rock. We were not overly impressed with this hotel at all. We had gotten an upgrade to be on the top floor,so view was the best part of our stay. We had a wonderful view of the city and the river. We ate two meals at the restaurant because it was cold and windy. The service and food neither one were good. We cut our stay short and only spent one night because the bed was so uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Top floor the view is lovely but the bed terrible

This hotel was a nice surprise, the rooms were great, good price, and very convenient. We were able to walk around downtown Louisville right from the hotel. Had to park offsite but it was in a parking garage right next door and reasonably priced. The rooms were nice and quiet.

Stayed at the Hyatt for the truck show. Hotel was very packed but check in was smooth and painless. Rooms are very clean and bed was comfortable . Very short walk to fourth st. Live and a little longer to the riverfront. The new lobby bar was nice and service was good. This is the second year in a row we have stayed and will be back next year.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency on 4th St. in Louisville on four separate occasions. I've been pleased with the choice each time. On each occasion my stay has lasted a week or longer. I've found the rooms and the bed to by very comfortable and always very clean. I've always had a good experience with any requests that I've made to the staff. Never have I received anything but gracious assistance. The location is also a plus. Many different options for restaurants and bars within a short walk from the hotel.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency on 3/27-28. We had to take our sister in-law to Louisville to have surgery. The staff was very understanding my sister in-law was in pain and let us check in early. Also they gave us a room directly across from the elevator on the third floor so that she would not have to walk very far. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We were give a free meal in Einsteins bagels the next morning, There are also very many options to eat within walking distance of the Hyatt and the room service is also excellent. My only problem is that the WiFi service is not free and did not work very well in our room. The Wifi signal was too weak to do anything with on all three of my devices. Upon check out the next morning I complained about it and they took the wifi off of our bill.

Room Tip: If you want better Wifi service ask for a room on the opposite side of the Elevators because the sig...

My mom, son, and I stayed in Louisville for a mini vacation. We had a great time. The Hyatt is perfectly situated in the middle of the downtown area. That is where you want to stay if museums and art is what you want to see. We walked all over the city, and then relaxed in our quiet, comfortable room. The beds are extremely comfortable. The restaurant, Sway is pricey, and the Einstein's Bro. Bagel closed early and so we were forced to venture out for food. This was not a problem because there were restaurants everywhere. We even walked to Toast on Market. It was about 3/4 of a mile, but worth the walk. Definitely a must if in Louisville.

Room Tip: No hot tub. This would have been heavenly after walking all day.
