“What a Great Place to Eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

A perfect place that I found in Louisville, Kentucky to eat. I wanted something small and to my surprise I found the perfect place to eat a great meal. I did not want to get much before my "Pasta Dinner" so I was searching very hard to find something very special. I found that special place at the Zoup. The manager Paul was great and created a superior customer friendly service location. The servicer Damion was just great. He allowed me to sample the different soups until I could finally make up my mind. I ended up ordering two soups and taking two kinds back to the hotel with me. I found this to be just part of a wonderful story and great time that I had at the Zoup. I saw some bouillon soup on the counter and could not believe it. Bouilion soup is perfect for restoring all the lost things in the body during a long run. I asked Paul to allow me to sample the bouillon soup on this race because I have not had bouillon soup in my training since I was in Germany. Paul not only listened to training ideas but he insisted that I take the $6.00 jar of bouillon soup for free if it would help me with my marathon run. I had a great run at the 2014 Kentucky Derby Marathon and it helped me that I was injury free and no problems at all during the entire race. Thanks to Paul, Damion, and all the wonderful people at Zoup I will once again add bouillon soup to my training list. I would highly encourage everyone visiting Louisville to stop by and see Paul and his wonderful crew.

“Great lunch spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

A super place for lunch. The first station you come to in line is where you can sample any of the soups they offer that day. Once you've decided, you move on and may then choose soup, salad, sandwich, or a combo. My wife said the chili was wonderful. I had an Asian crab soup that was really good. Definitely to be repeated.

“Tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

I ordered soup and a sandwich. They have a dozen soups at a time and were very friendly about letting you have a taste or two. The soup came with a lovely warm roll. The sandwich was nice, too.The is place is similar to Panera, but with more selection of soups. they also have salads. I did not have one, but they sounded and looked good, too.

“OMG!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

I ran in here one day for lunch. when asked what I wanted, I let the server behind the counter "pick" for me. That was a great idea! Lobster bisque and a chicken panini. Very tasty!

“Quick fresh sandwich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

Staying at the Hyatt Regency, Zouo is right across the street.
We needed a fast to go lunch. This fit the bill.
The pros....
Fast
Reasonably priced
Good selection
Friendly
Warm toasted bread

The cons....
Thin on the contents

Summary
Their soup and salad menu inticed me back for a to go dinner.

We ordered soup and salad about 20 minutes before closing time.

The pros....
Good selection
Made to order
Happy to give tastes of the various soups

The cons....
The server was sweeping when we came in. She didn't immediately wash her hands when she came back behind the counter. So I asked her too.
The soups were sort of scummed over and looked a bit tired. But taste was ok.

Summary....
Good food quickly but could use a "fluff up" on appearances and employee hygeine.
