“Nice local place to dine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014 via mobile

The food was very good. Prices reasonable. We took advantage of dining in a small outside patio. Inside was bustling and they had a piano player/singer, who I would have enjoyed listening to had we chosen to eat inside. Note, the only negative, it's located not necessarily in the best neighborhood of the historic district. So I wouldn't plan on walking after dinner even though it looks tempting to do.

“Elegant and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

Elegant decor, wonderful food, yet nobody noticed that we were more casual than the other diners.
Service and food was great.

“Back in time elegant dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

Reservations at 7, seated immediately, wait staff was prompt. Tried the Flavitini, which was delicious and light. Bruschetta and bacon wrapped shrimp for starters which were excellently prepared and flavorful. Entrees selected with our group was stuffed chicken, pork chop, surf n turf and I had the crisp fish Asian style . All dishes had a beautiful presentation, healthy portions and were well seasoned. The piano player was entertaining and had a large portfolio of tunes. Each female leaves with a single white flower which is the trademark with vases of white flower arrangements to represent the love of moon gardens. Very nice value for the price of a gourmet meal. This was also walking distance from Old Louisville where we stayed at a historic Bed and Breakfast.

“A Treasure!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

This is an old fashioned white linen restaurant without the pretentiousness that often accompanies such a place. It is located in historical section of city just minutes off freeway. We were traveling thru town but wanted a more interesting lunch than the chains. Our server was friendly and exceedingly helpful. My husband dubbed their coleslaw (which was on the sweet side and included apples) the best he had ever eaten. I decided it was the perfect time and place to try (for the first time ever) fried green tomatoes in a BLT. It was tasty and included enough of a kick I'm absolutely positive it is an updated version. Our meal was served incredibly quickly which we appreciated; but I'm sure if you wanted to linger the staff would accommodate that also. I would recommend this as a place for vacationers and also locals seeking a special meal.

“Simply Extraordinary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

We were staying at the DuPont and they recommended Bucks restaurant. It was within easy walking distance among beautifulold Victorian mansions and it was delightful. The decor was mismatched antique dishes beautiful whit flowers low lighting and wonderful piano background music. But the true delight beyond the decor was the food. It was excellent. My husband is very picky about steak and he said his filet mignon was exceptional. I had encrusted chicken also excellent. The blend of flavor and presentation was beyond words!
