Usually when you book a room in a suburban area of a city, you expect the basic business traveler accommodations -- everything is decent, but nothing sticks out as being superior. However, when I recently stayed here for a work trip, my jaw literally dropped in surprise.
The hotel is gorgeous -- the lobby (which is ENORMOUS), looks like something you'd find in a fancy, downtown establishment. The bar is terrific, and has lots of seating options; my coworkers and I enjoyed a relaxing happy hour on leather couches and chairs. The rooms were spacious, super clean and very modern. The open show is beautiful too. The best part was room service; I had ordered breakfast the night before, to be deliver by 7 a.m. At 7:03 a.m. room service arrived. I asked how much I owed them, and they told me there would be no charge -- because they were THREE minutes late. I even tried to pay them, saying I didn't even notice and 3 minutes hardly counts as "late," but they refused -- talk about great customer service!
I'll definitely be staying there again when my work brings me to Louisville.
