“Beautiful park with a variety of things to do”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

We have been to Churchill Downs several times for corporate outings, Derby, Oaks and Downs After Dark. Great history in racing, good facilities, food, etc. Particularly enjoyed the Derby museum which has a large 4 player horse racing video game, 360 degree history video room and a nice souvenir shop. If you are in town late summer Friday afternoon/nights, I highly recommend checking to see if Downs After Dark is on the calendar. We enjoyed the social atmosphere, music and of course horse racing. Mixed crowd dressed from casual to "dress to impress."

“Great Times”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

My husband and I spent our first day in Louisville at Churchill Downs. It was a Friday and they had open races. We had expected to stay for a few races and go but we had so much fun we stayed all day. Lovely grounds, fun people, and we won!

“Not worth going in the offseason”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

It was cool too see, but going in the winter meant limited access and very little going on. I want to go back and see a race.

“Excitement and Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

Love to spend time in a beautiful place and still be able to talk with the friend you went with? Like horses? Then this is the place for you! Don't miss the chance to go to the races while in Louisville. Churchill Downs is a great place to watch the horses! You can get up close and even say hello to the jockeys. It doesn't matter if you don't gamble either. You don't have to. Visit the great museum too.
