“Good one night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2014

Easy check in, comfortable bed/pillows, good continental breakfast. Check out is at 11. Relatively easy to get to from Churchill downs. Would stay again for a one night stay. Very good value on a holiday weekend

Very clean, comfortable room with king bed. Fridge and microwave too! King bed was outstanding along with the pillows. Has indoor pool and hot tub. Great rate and service. Right off the highway and near lots of restaurants. Would stay here again if ever back in the area. Not too far from downtown Louisville.

We have always stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown for convenience.
However, our last two stays at the Hampton were far from "comfortable".
Comfort Inn has been a "go to" hotel for us in the past and we decided to try it in Louisville.
This Comfort Inn location is only 10-12 minutes from downtown. (depending on traffic.)

The pros:
*The rooms are clean & roomy
*The price is right and discounts are available
*lots of seating
*we needed an extra blanket & ice bucket, no problem, the staff is friendly and easy going

The cons:
*We found a syringe in the desk chair, the windows were left unlocked and a towel had "make up? (I hope) stains" on it! House keeping needs to do a "one last look" before leaving the room.
*Breakfast over at 9 and check out at 11? Most hotels are now going to breakfast, over at 10 and checkout at 12.
*The wallpaper in the bathroom is starting to peel. It needs to be removed.

This a great hotel if you want to stay out of downtown.

Room Tip: We always ask for a corner room for less noise. There is only 1 elevator and it is in the center of...

Our group was taking a trip to Louisville KY to the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. We spoke to a manager on 3 different occasions prior, asking if we could check in early. They said yes, anytime after 7:00 a.m. and it should not be a problem. We even called the day before to confirm. We were traveling all night to get to our destination (14 hours) and could not wait to get to the hotel to sleep. Come to find out, the other group we were traveling with arrived at the hotel to find out that they were fully booked and there was no way we could check in before 12:30pm. They left and got 3 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express. I then call the hotel and the manager was rude and really did not care what we had to say. I told her that I understand that they were booked with no rooms available, but that is one the reason we chose the hotel as they said no problem after 7 a.m. The manager did not want not work with us, nor did they apologize, and only said that their cleaning crew did not arrive until at least 8:30 a.m. therefore no rooms until at least 12:30. We cancelled our reservation and also stayed at the Holiday Inn Express that catered to our every need. Again, I completely understand the early check-ins, it was just the way that the situation was handled, and it's too bad as they lost 5 rooms and also customers for the next time we travel there.

First, we want to tell you about the accommodating staff. Jennifer,Ebony, andTanya were so sweet and accommodating and extremely helpful. Our breakfast was great..Lisa and staff assured our food was fresh and there was plenty available. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and even though it is located on a busy highway..it was super quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, nice new modern hotel. Very good breakfast, very spacious rooms. The staff were great, and this is where i will stay when I'm in Louisville. My only peeve was that the wifi in my King Suite was terrible. The front desk offered me a wired-in option but hey I use a MacBook Pro.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the ends of the hallways have really bad wifi.

This hotel has changed drastically over the last few months. The girl at night (Ebony) is so sweet and accommodating, she literally made my stay better than I was going to write about. Breakfast is NOT the same. I don't know what happened to Beverly (the last breakfast attendant) but since she's left it seems chaotic. Not as clean as it use to be and no interaction with customers. The older woman doing laundry has a terrible mouth and attitude. Linda, I think is her name, was talking to another employee about either a recent employee or one that quit in such a terrible manner. Once she saw me she kept continuing her story. The most unprofessional conversation I've ever heard. Obviously there is no structure. Ebony kept apologizing for her coworkers behavior as if she was the general manager. She's been there for a very long time and it upsets me SHE isn't the one in charge! Her professionalism is the reason I even stayed. Thank you Ebony! Hopefully your other coworkers can learn a thing or two from you.
