“Very nice but very confusing”

I received a great rate online and decided to give this hotel a try. My boyfriend and I arrives pretty late so we didn't get much time here. The parking is $15 but not a big deal for a first rate hotel. The hotel was very confusing and the desk staff wasn't very helpful. The maps helped a bit but even finding our room was a bit of a mess. The pool is super small for the size of the hotel. I would have expected a larger pool. Overall a nice place but a lot of walking to find your room and make it inside.

Booked a room at the Galt House for a music festival at the waterfront. What an amazing hotel experience! This hotel is marvelous! Room was spacious and spotless, staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here anytime I am in Louisville. I LOVE The Galt House!!

The Galt House needs a total renovation. My bathroom upon entering was dirty, the curtains had mold on them and the furniture has huge rips on the arms. The staff is not helpful, take your money elsewhere in Louisville.

We enjoyed our visit and the Galt House has a great location and our room was nice as far a large room, great view of river, two dressing areas, but long black hairs stuck on two places in the shower. EEWWWW! We were with a group and one room they found a pair of glasses in the bed!!!!! The third room had blood on sheets so they moved about 1 am and that room the air wasn't working so when they woke it was 82 in the room. Great hotel just really needs a deep cleaning and work on cleaning skills of the maid service......If there is a conference being held the elevators just lock down. Had to wait 30 minutes the morning we left and we were on the 22 floor so no walking down stairs.

I was not pleased with the way the front desk handled my billing issue. Rolling of the eyes and arguing with a guest is not the way to handle a situation. The hotel also needs updated soft goods in the rooms and public space.

We drove up from Southern Ohio to stay for the night and visit the Ali museum. The Galt House is in a great location on the river in downtown Louisville. There is a great observatory and bar area at the top of the hotel which had nice views of the river. It's a beautiful (but older) hotel. You can expect a clean room. The rooms appeared to be updated but they are definitely a more traditional style with cherry wood headboards. The front desk staff was friendly and the lobby was clean. You do have to pay for parking but the location was so great it was worth the $15.

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor to take advantage of the view of downtown or the river

Everyone was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.The food was very good. The staff catered to the needs of those in attendance to the Conference. The rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and other amenities.
