Owner description: Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it.Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. and Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by! Please visit our official website for up-to-date hours and admission prices!

“Bats galore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Although I am not a baseball fan, my husband and son are so we went to the Louisville Slugger museum. I enjoyed it far more than I anticipated. Seeing how quickly bats are made and hearing all the stats on the number of bats made for each player was really interesting. Loved the pink bats!! When we were there, we saw Lego Land of baseball fields and our home field of Miller Park was amazing. Definitely would recommend this to visitors to Louisville.

“Very Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Although I could never call myself a baseball fan, I really enjoyed our visit to this museum and factory, and seeing all the processes that are needed to make a bat.
There was an excellent display of lego models of stadia and other baseball items when i was visiting though I believe this was only temporary.
Well worth stopping to see this factory.

“History in the making”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

NO idea about baseball in any shape or form...this was an excellent tour of the Slugger factory , explaining the process of manufacturing from wood to finished product..what amazed me was the facts of how many bats top players get through in a season...being able to handle the bats give you a realisation of the strength needed to be a succesful hitter..thoroughly enjoyed and the gift shop was reasonable with really nice choice of t shirts

“Batman!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

For anyone who has ever even remotely played the game, this is a worthwhile pilgrimage. The huge steel bat out front is an indication of the history and feeling of the museum and factory behind it. All of the game's greatest hitters used Louisville Sluggers to make their records and dreams come true. The history is fascinating and the modern process a tribute to technology.

Good for the avid player as well as the neophyte. A true tribute to Americana.

“Batter Up”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

I'm not a huge baseball fan but definitely enjoyed the experience of watching the bats be made at the Louisville Slugger Museum. What I especially like was that this was a true factory tour which brought you right into the production area for the bats -- not some 'mock-up' tour like I've experienced at other factories. It was especially fun to see the bats all ready to be shipped to my home team the NY Yankees! Great tour for adults and kids alike, baseball fans or not.
