“Ok stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Stayed here one night for a conference that was being held in the hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I did have a problem with the internet, I had to pay $10 for 24 hours of internet that was slow and not very dependable as it kept disconnecting.

We were in town for our daughter's college graduation from Transylvania University. It was not our first stay at the property. The hotel once again met our expectations of what a Hyatt property should be. The only complaint I do have is the mattresses....very soft... The location is fantastic in Lexington for any downtown event you want to attend and not have to worry with parking. We were only 3 blocks from the University. The hotel also allowed us to have a late check out the next day so that we would not have to load our luggage before early morning graduation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our hotel on Tripadvisor. We do appreciate your visit and want to send our congratulations on the graduation of your daughter.

By the way, not only are we steps away from Transylvania University's campus, but also just a short walk from the University of Kentucky.

I was not expecting much due to a past bad experience with Hyatt. However from the moment I stepped into the hotel the good atmosphere was good.

The lobby is very airy and with nice coot able seating areas (that plural ) typically Hotels don't want you to sit around.

I can see why other people write semi bad reviews because of the convention center ad mall. I guess it can be pretty crowded when they have events. Also that's the advantage if it so it depends where you stay.

The person helping is provided a great tip regarding an outdoor concern an s place to eat with a discount for staying at Hyatt.

The room was very nice and with a great view (pick the rooms ending in even numbers for the view to the park).

Great shower and water pressure.
The bed was great. In the bathroom they provided complimentary toothpaste and rubber tub mat (most hotels you have to call) but these items were already there.

The service was nice and the recommendation of outdoor concert with dinning was perfect. We were lucky of the outdoor event.

Next time I'll try the restaurant and bar which seemed pretty nice

We booked this room online through Hotwire and got almost $70 off! We got to this property a bit early for check in. We were greeted by Lydia and Peter with smiling faces. They were super nice and let us check in early with no problem. Peter was very helpful and very informative about what we could do and might find interesting in the area. The check in was speedy. The room was very nice on the 9th floor. Very clean with nice bed linens. The view over Triangle Park was awesome. I had called the night before to confirm the reservation with Hayley and told her we needed a handicap accessible shower. Hotwire had not specified that with the hotel so Hayley took care of it for us immediately and we had a room right off of the elevator. We did have an issue while at this hotel. There were 3 children at the pool unattended by parents and they were being very rough in the pool. I went directly to the evening manager Evans. Evans took care of the issue immediately and apologized for the issue. Evans was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was not busy the day we checked out so they allowed us a later checkout which was nice because we got to sleep longer and enjoy the hotel a bit longer. This hotel is in downtown Lexington with lots of things to do and places to go without needing to get your car out of the lot. I have never encountered a hotel with more friendly and helpful staff anywhere than at this Hyatt Regency! No matter how many questions that you have the staff always smile and answer and offer suggestions. We did not order room service while we were here. I do however disagree with the $9.99 internet usage fee. We will most definitely stay at this property again. This Hyatt makes you feel like family with a luxurious room!

Room Tip: Ask for top floor room overlooking Triangle Park!

The Hyatt Regency is located downtown close to bars, restaurants, and Rupp Arena. Upper level floors have a good view of the park and fountain across the street. There's also free parking available which is a big plus.

Thank you for your business and for the nice review of your experience at our hotel. As you mentioned in your comments, our hotel has an excellent location within easy walking distance of Lexington's downtown white tablecloth restaurants, arts attractions and growing nightlife.

We hope you return soon. Lexington is a great central location for visiting horse farms, civil war sites or taking a tour of the many bourbon distilleries within a short drive.

We stayed at this hotel and found it to be very comfortable with nicely decorated rooms. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We did experience some noisy guests on our floor at midnight and this was promptly resolved by a phone call to security. The hotel is situated in the heart of downtown with an easy walk to nearby restaurants. It is also adjacent to the Rupp Arena and fortunately there was nothing going on or we might have had a different experience. If you want to be in downtown and want a full service hotel experience, we highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is next to Rupp Arena. The staff is outstanding and always willing to help. Food is great. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times for UK basketball games, concert, and school activities. Parking is convenient. Close to several attractions in downtown Lexington.

Thank you for the excellent review of our hotel. The Hyatt Regency does have an outstanding location; we are literally connected to Rupp Arena and the Lexington Convention Center. Many of our rooms have a beautiful view looking down over Triangle Park.

The Hyatt is also steps away from the Lexington Opera House, the Downtown Arts Center, the Farmer's Market and Lexington's emerging restaurant and nightlife scene. Please return soon!
