“Great service. Would definitely stay again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

The best part of the hotel is definitely the staff. Paul, a gentleman at the front desk, helped us with dessert recommendations for a late-night sweets craving. He really knew the area and had good recommendations and directions. Everyone we encountered were very helpful. And we noticed the staff is so supportive of each other. When we were leaving I said I wanted to fill out a comment card to say something about how helpful Paul had been. All the staff standing nearby praised him and told me how to go online while Paul kept saying "Oh, don't bother, that's my job."

Overall nice Hyatt. Room was very comfortable, clean; new furnishings. Location is perfect. First time I had been to Lexington. Easy to walk to restaurants, businesses and easy to find from the highway.

Stayed here a couple of nights on business . . . overall this hotel had everything I needed and was perfectly situated downtown. If one is to attend an event at Rupp Arena, you won't find a better location! The service was mostly very good but I did run into a couple of noteworthy problems . . . when I checked in I was told as a diamond member there were no upgrades available at that time and then was placed in a room that clearly was just fumigated . . . it reeked of a perfume smell! I called downstairs and spoke to a different agent and she was able to place me into a suite immediately . . . so much for no upgrades being available at the time! Also, when I left the hotel and used it's airport shuttle, it was about ten minutes late . . . from what I can tell the driver was there but appeared too busy socializing and/or watching TV in the bar area! But like I said other than that things were fine and, in fact, the service was quite good. The rooms were a bit basic--even the suite--but they were large, clean and comfortable. There is no regency room. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the service was excellent in the dining room . . . in addition to that there are several really good restaurants within walking distance.

Came to see Lexington and stayed at this hotel because of its location. It was perfectly situated and it was very easy to walk to all the nice restaurants just a block or so away. But it was also nice to have such a nice room that was exceptionally clean. In addition, it had a great gym (and a nice pool that we did not use of expect) . The restaurant on the first floor is very lovely and full of light. They even were willing to accommodate our vegan requirements for our oatmeal for breakfast, which was very nice.

Thank you for your excellent review of the Hyatt Regency Lexington. As you pointed out, our hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of Lexington and we are walking distance from many downtown restaurants, cafes and nightlife.

We appreciate your mention of our staff of the BlueFire Grill meeting your dietary (vegan) needs. At Hyatt we always want to honor our guests' individual preferences and I am delighted to learn that we were able to do so during your stay with us.

Come back and visit us again soon. There's much more to see and do here.

Always enjoy staying here. Staff are polite, courteous and ready to help. Ate in the dining room for dinner - very good - and for breakfast - good. No concierge level (club level) rooms - would have liked that amenity.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked Triangle Park - very nice view.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for a wedding. Upon arrival there was not a bellman to be found. A bellman finally showed up and half-heartedly asked if we were, "alright" as we looked for a luggage cart. After having to go into the lobby, another hotel worker was able to find a cart for us in the back. As I checked in, the woman at the front desk told me the bellman was at the airport. I would have expected the Hyatt to have had more than one bellman at check-in time. We loaded up all of our luggage, garment bags, gifts, etc. and took everything up to the room ourselves. The room was pretty standard. The beds were awful. There is nothing special about this hotel.

We apologize for your disappointing experience at our hotel, but want to thank you for taking the time to make us aware of it. We completely agree with you that there should be a staff member available to assist you at all times.

As you can tell from the vast majority of our reviews, we generally receive much higher marks on our service from our guests. Obviously we didn't earn higher marks, in this case.

Please feel free to contact me personally and I will do what I can to make things right for you.

We stayed one night at the Hyatt downtown. This hotel was connected to Rupp Arena and Convention Center, so it was very convienent for attending a function at Heritage Hall. Upon arriving, you have the option of Valet parking or self parking. Both are across the street, they share the same lot, so save yourself some $$ and self-park.The room was nice size, we had a double bed room, Flat screen TV, mini-fridge, cup style coffee maker and the infamous ipod/alarm clocks. Yes ours also had the wrong time displayed, unit has button for everything but setting the time,so get a wake-up call. The bathroom has no exhaust fan and our toilet continued to fill and refill after flushing, shaking the handle would stop it. Outside noise turned out to be the worst of any hotel we have ever stayed at. Traffic noise was heard all night. It could be the large windows in the room or that our room faced the triangle shaped park outside. I ran the heating/cooling fan trying to drown-out the noise. Even with ear-plugs in, the traffic noise could be heard. So 3 hours of sleep was it, Upon checking out, the noise and running toliet was brought up to the front desk attendee and a man who appeared to be her manager and they both responded with "Sorry about that". Being a Hyatt Gold Passport member doesn't seem to matter. In fairness, other people in our group liked their rooms, just make sure yours doesn't face the traffic and it's not room 528.

Room Tip: Rooms facing traffic lights and triangle shaped park are noisy,#528

Had an excellent stay with a view of the holiday skaters in the square below. This hotel is within walking distance to many good restaurants. We didn't have a chance to eat in the beautiful lobby restaurant however we will definitely make a point of it on our next visit.
This hotel offers free parking across the street which is a rarity for a hotel in a downtown location.

Thank you for your excellent review of our hotel. We are happy that you enjoyed your visit and the view from your room overlooking the skating area in Triangle Park.

As you pointed out, the Hyatt is well located within a shortwalk of Lexington's growing white tablecloth restaurant district and bustling nightlife.

Please come back soon.
