“really good cajun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

If you are looking for a Canjun restaurant in Lexington I can say this place is good. Their Jambalaya and Red beans and rice are very good. Blackened chicken was a little overt spiced but that is always a personal preference. The Lousiana crab cakes were excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. We went on a Sunday night and it was was not very busy (6:30) but when we left they had quite a few more patrons.

“A real taste of New Orleans”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

As a lover of Cajun and Louisiana food it is really a pleasure to find some in Lexington.
This was our first visit to this location (don't ask why), but we had been to all the other locations since Tommy was out on Red Mile Road.
The Red Beans and Rice was without doubt the best I have had since my last trip to NOLA. The Blackened Frogs legs over jambalaya was excellent and the petite poison was perfect. .
One friend had the Shrimp Creole and he all but licked the plate while my wife's Red Snapper was as described.
If you haven't had Louisiana beer, try the Abita Turbo Dog. Dark, creamy wonderful.
There are lots of food and beverage options so try Furlongs.

“Cajun eating in Lexington”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014 via mobile

Great place for a wide variety of meals, but mostly an Cajun flare. My brother had the seafood sample and being from Florida, knows seafood. He thought they did an pretty good job with his meal. I had crawfish Etoufee, it could have used a bit more white rice with it and a piece of buttered French bread. I am thinking it would have been perfect then. Plenty of mud bugs in the meal and just the right spice. Chef let the patron decide on the HOT, which is good. Sat a the bar to watch basketball and we had GREAT service. They were not busy, which allowed us to sit at bar. We would have gone to restaurant otherwise.

“Always good but most times great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

I frequent this restaurant a couple of times a month and the food is always really good. Some of the specials are top notch and reasonably priced. The bar area is a friendly place with a great atmosphere and TVs to watch games or horse racing. Most of the Cajun dishes are excellent but don't overlook the seafood and steaks.

“Wonderful food and exceptional service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

The spicy bleu cheese dressing was the best dressing I have ever tasted. The shrimp etouffee was amazing. Our waitress brought me out a tasting of etouffee and jambalaya to help me decide which entree to select. She went above and beyond the entire service. We were really impressed. Can't wait to go back.
