I've eaten lunch here twice. The first time was a few days after they opened, and though tasty, they were still finding their footing.
Today I ate lunch here again. I ordered Steak Schwarma platter, with falafel and salat on the side. The schwarma was very good--tender, juicy, and full-flavored. One of the better schwarmas in town. The falafel was great; bell-shaped and cooked perfectly. The owner came out to greet me, and offered some garlic puree to go with the meal--powerful stuff, but a great compliment.
There are lots of places to grab an $8 lunch in or near downtown where I work. I'm glad to have Happy Falafel nearby. This is not fancy, but more of a little family-run joint. It adds an additional element of variety. I'd love to see them add a specifically Palestinian dish or two to the menu. I'll be back!
