“Number 1 - come on!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

The place is cute. The service is terrific. The ribs and chicken are pretty darn good. But the #1 restaurant in Lexington? Get real.

“Good BBQ at a Good Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

This is my first time eating at this joint. I was pleasantly surprised. This is no place for a nice romantic dinner however. If you want good BBQ fast this is it. Had the lunch special: Pulled pork, one side and a drink. Just $6.25. Pork was juicy and tender. There are several sauces on the table to choose from. I had the french fries for a side and my wife had the cole slaw. Both were good.
You go up to the counter to order and then have a seat. A few minutes later a friendly server brought out our food. Drinks are self serve as well. I did not have any beer but it looked to be a larger selection of them.
Stop by if you are in the vicinity. You won't be disappointed.

“Best BBQ outside of TX!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

You might just pass this place by and keep driving. That would be a huge mistake. The character and charm is that it looks like something from yesteryear. Once you get out of your car, the smell is intoxicating and a prelude to what you are about to enjoy. The food is well priced and beyond excellent: the best outside of TX! The staff is welcoming and treats guests like family. Off the beaten path, for sure, but a real find when found!

“Delicious food and nice staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

The barbecue was some of the best I have ever had. They had five or six sauces at each table so you could try as much as you want. My husband got the 3 meat dinner and said the ribs were the best (that's what the hostess suggested). I had the brisket sandwich and the meat was incredibly tender. Food came out FAST! I also suggest the sweet corn muffins. We are six hours from home and visited because it was #1 on trip advisor. Great idea!!

“Easy to miss, hard to pass up!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

Fantastic Q! It's more than just the sauce here, these folks know how to make the meats flavorful and tender. Highly recommend the brisket. Be careful as you are apt to drive past the restaurant located right off the highway.
