“A Wonderful & Friendly Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2012

We stayed here on the out-skirts of Lexington one night for a concert we were attending at Rupp Arena. Check-in was wonderful, and we were greeted with a friendly smile and polite chit-chat about our stay and the concert that evening. We briefly took a look at the indoor pool (though we didn't swim), and I found it cool to find that they had separate child/adult swim hours (the pool is open an additional hour – until midnight – for adults).

We dropped our bags off at our room and gave it a quick look before we headed out for dinner. Everything met with our satisfaction. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the pillows are amazingly soft (as always - love Country Inn & Suites pillows!). The room was spacious and looked freshly painted, and the bathroom also showed some signs of a new coat of paint and some recent remodeling. The tub was very clean, but we noticed a bit of what looked like lime residue on the showerhead. Nothing that bothered us, really. Everything was in working order and very comfortable. We stock-piled our Coca-Cola cans in the mini-fridge and headed out to dinner.

The area around the hotel is filled with all sorts of shopping and dining places, and we had a good time exploring and just sort of hanging out. It felt like a very safe and clean part of town to be in, and that always sets your mind at ease. It was also very easy to get to Rupp Arena that night (even with the concert traffic), and getting back to the hotel was also easy. I was impressed!

When we arrived back late that night (around 11:45 or so), it was VERY hard to find a parking place in the lot. We found the last one all the way in the back and squeezed into it. On the way into the hotel, there were people gathered outside and one person in their car playing some rather loud music. When we walked in, we saw that the breakfast area had the doors closed and the television on…and a very large group of people were gathered for some sort of party or get-together. The noise from the room was very quiet, and it didn't really bother me. We mostly just wondered what was going on. When we got back up to our room, however, I could still hear the noise from outside – the guy in his car was still playing loud music. After about 10 minutes or so, though, it was turned off. Quiet again.

You could hear some outside hallway noise during the night – random doors shutting, people walking by. But I consider that pretty typical hotel-stuff, and it doesn't affect my night's sleep.

Breakfast was enjoyable the next morning – I especially enjoy the waffles with fruit topping (your choice of strawberries or apples). But they also had eggs, sausage, biscuits, 4 different types of juice, an assortment of cereals, muffins, danishes. I did hear one comment from another patron that they wished the fresh fruit selection was larger (they had apples and bananas available).

Check-out was easy and also pleasant, and we were back on the road again. Overall, a very nice stay, and I would visit again. Thank you!

We met family here for the weekend. We picked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. It was a great place! Rooms were very nice, clean, quiet. The breakfast was extraordinary to say the least. We went in expecting the standard hotel continental breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to find eggs, sausage, and biscuits & gravy on the menu! Coffee was superb! The pool and hot tub were great also. This is a wonderful hotel, obviously well-managed. The staff is very friendly.

This hotel was great value for money. There were a few restaurants not too far from here, and a walmart across the way were you could get a microwave meal if you just wanted a quiet night in. Breakfast in the morning was also very nice.

Although this hotel is near I-75 and busy Winchester road, we heard none of the traffic. My cousin is a travel agent and reccomended we stay there (for a funeral). She puts all her clients there. She wasnt wrong. Nice place. Decent rate (AAA). I didnt hear the noise that other said in there reviews. Wasnt in room much for above reason but I'd stay there again.
