“Nice tour - mediocre product”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

The facilities are beautiful and the tour is informative (the self-aggrandizing infomercial starring Pierce Lyons at the beginning of the tour is a little awkward).
The bourbon barrel beer is good, because well... Any beer soaked in bourbon would be good.
Alltech's bourbon is so-so. Not bad for mixing (but pricier than others). Their rye is just plain bad. I bought a bottle of their coffee infused liquor because it was unique.

“Really great Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Visited today. The tour guide Dillon was really informative on all bourbon history and witty making the tour. Amazing small production brewery and distillery. Really enjoyed the tastings of both products. Bought two bottles and will enjoy

“Wait...beer AND bourbon? You betcha!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

A Brewery and Distillery in one? Yes please! One stop shopping anyone? Our tour guide (Dylan) was great with perfect blend of info and humor. We had a smaller group and I appreciated the chill vibe. Sounds like it is a different beast on the weekend.

Favorites were the double barrel (ask about it) and Bourbon Barrel Stout. In the distillery I enjoyed the bourbon bluegrass sundown (you HAVE to try this)! The one downside was only 4 tasting tickets between the beer and booze.

“1st on the Bourbon Trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Our start of the Bourbon Trail as with many began at Town Branch Distillery (Alltech Brewing and Distillery) While I have had many experiences with distillery tours in Scotland we weren't sure what to expect. Not to worry Scotty will help you. Scotty, our guide has far to much fun leading his groups on the "short" version of the tour, a no charge visit no less. Scotty shared the history of the Alltech, it's brewing past and it's distillery future. We were able to sample a number of products but my favourite was the American Single Malt which in my humble opinion is as good or better than many single malts I have sampled over the years and one the have every right to be proud of. It was first created and sampled in Scotland where it was met with stunning success by the creators of the Water of Life. I was on an 8 day vacation and did not want to carry product around for that long, but rest assured, when I returned to Louisville on the last day of my journey, I did manage to obtain the Single malt, and two examples of the brew that began the journey. You will have more fun and learn more in a shorter period of time than most of the other places we stopped at.

“Thanks Scott for the great tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

This was our first stop on the bourbon trail. We had Scott as our tour guide. He was very knowledgable about the products. He was very funny as well. The samples were great.
