“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2009

We had a great stay at the Embassy Suites. The room was very nice and very clean. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We changed our reservation several times adding on extra days and they were very helpful and efficient. They gave us some great recommendations for area restaurants and sites to see. The breakfast each morning was really good as always when staying at an Embassy Suites. We really enjoyed the manager's reception each evening with drinks and snacks. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

The only two things to be aware of...1) Nice swimming pool, but no hot tub. We were a bit dissappointed. 2) WiFi is available, but they will charge you $10 per day. I thought that was somewhat unusual, most hotels offer free WiFi.

One of the cleanest and most satisfying one night stays I have had. I have stayed at a lot of hotels, but if you need a place to stay in Lexington, KY, I recommend this location. The room was very nice, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, it was easy to locate, and the free cocktails and breakfast are great perks. Way to go Embassy Suites!

I have stayed here on many occasions and have found the staff friendly and efficient. On my last occasion the assistant manager went out of her way to find my lost baggage at another Hilton( the service was very poor there). The breakfast means you do not need to eat for the rest of the day and the free drinks in the evening makes you not want to leave the hotel. The rooms are spacious. The swimming pool is small as is the business centre, which results in queing to use the poor internet service.
I have stayed at many hotels in Lexington and keep returning to this one. The initial listed price is outrageous, but many deals nearer the time of arrival means it is reasonable value.

A month ago we had gone to an Embassy Suites in another state and the stay was less than satisfactory. We had to go to Lexington as my boyfriend was moving there for a year and we were looking for apartments. This Embassy Suites was everything I had anticipated. We were in town a little early and when I called the front desk, Josh, a very courteous employee, informed me that our room was already ready for us and we could check in at any time. The staff was wonderful!! I particularly enjoyed the lady who takes care of fixing the omelettes at breakfast...very sweet and showed true Southern hospitality. The hotel was full both nights were were there. There was some sort of meeting the first night and a wedding the second. Yet, there was plenty of parking, customer service was wonderful (I saw the evening manager at the front desk, the manager's reception, and in the restaurant all in one evening...very impressive) and our room was more quiet than most I've stayed in.
A few things I feel I should state.
First, we did not find the mattresses to be very comfortable, as we prefer our mattresses to be more firm. The beds were, however, very clean and housekeeping did a wonderful job.
Second, the vent for the room is blocked by the bedroom door, so circulation of cooler air into the bedroom was not great.
Third, and this is not at all the fault of the hotel, I highly recommend they have room key access only for the business center. At one point we needed to use a computer, yet there were three unsupervised children, all under the age of 13, playing games on the two computers. Unsupervised children were an issue this particular weekend, as some were frequently running around the corridors and several young teenage girls took up a large amount of space, unsupervised, during the manager's reception. I have three boys of my own, so I do know what it's like to bring kids with me. It is irresponsible and inconsiderate to allow children to run around without adult supervision. The hotel, however, does state several times in its directories that children should be attended at all times by an adult.
Fourth, there were tree limbs lying on the walking path that had not been picked up. The paths take the guests along beautiful scenery and are wonderful for walking or jogging.
That being said, we felt the hotel did a superb job and we would be more than happy to return. We felt welcomed and were consistently shown true hospitality. The hotel was full for the entire weekend, yet there wa definitely plenty of room for everyone. Very well done.

The Embassy Suites Lexington is located north of the downtown area on Newtown Pike (just off I-64, across from the Marriott Griffin Gate resort) in a developing office park setting. A large atrium is the centerpiece of this hotel, which is surrounded by five floors of spacious and comfortable 2-room suites, which include complimentary WiFi and a mini-kitchen....a workout room, pool and conference facilities are also available....the "Paddock Grille" is an on-site restaurant that serves B/L/D daily....menu prices at dinner seemed a little overpriced, but items were tasty and well-prepared....the complimentary breakfast menu includes a custom order station, as well as the standard breakfast buffet -- nothing elaborate, but a little something for everyone, which was good and filling. A small bar ("Paddock Lounge") is located just off the restaurant, and a "Manager's Reception" is featured most evenings in the atrium, with drinks and light snacks. There is also a small sudries shop in the lobby, as well as a business center, which includes PC's and printers.

The nearby Marriott Griffin Gate offers a broader array of conference and recreational facilities, but the ES-Lexington is a solid choice for comfortable accommodations.

Stayed at Embassy Suites for conference. Left business truck in plain view of FRONT lobby. $1000.00+ worth of tools stolen from LOCKED tool box of truck. Management would do nothing but apologize. No security cameras in parking lot. They CLAIM there was a security guard that came by every hour. But what good does that do. How much could it possibly cost to install security camera with sign warning thieves. Didn't even bother to offer a free stay for all the trouble.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

While we are obviously very disappointed with this incident happening in our parking lot, the Embassy Suites is located in a very safe quiet area of Lexington Kentucky, where the frequency of any incidents are very low.
The Hotel does have 24 hour Security with regular and consistent patrols of the entire property. The Management team did quickly respond to this incident. The guest did not want the police involved to get an investigation started. As a hotel it is of the utmost importance to not only provide excellent service, but to also provide a safe and secure environment to our guests. We have been successul in providing such an environment for ten years.
